Late, Late, Late!

Inspiration - Michelle Clarke

Here is a card that not only was late getting to the recipient for her birthday but I'm tardy in posting it, too!  Well you know what they say, "Better late than never"!
This card was made by rolling the Very Vintage jumbo wheel on my Soft Suede pad to ink it up, then across the Very Vanilla card front and a smaller panel of Very Vanilla that was used for the focal piece.  Then both pieces were sponged pretty heavily with Crumb Cake ink.  The retired Upsy Daisy stamp was inked up with Versamark and stamped on the small panel.  Black embossing powder was generously sprinkled on, shaking off the excess before using the heat gun on it.  Added the sentiment (from On Your Birthday - another retired set), a Black mat, and a piece of retired Black satin ribbon before adhering to the card front with Dimensionals.

Must get moving!  Need to get our granddaughter to daycare and then start packing for the quarterly Girls' Getaway retreat!  Thank you for stopping by today!

Gettin' Nautical

Hi there!  Shocked to see a post from me on Saturday?  Don't get used to it!  lol

Today I have another masculine card to share with you.  I've had it in my stash for some time now (made at one of Pam D'Urso's Demo Stamp Camps before she moved) and decided to send it to our nephew-in-law, who is into boating.   I think he'll appreciate it!  The Sail Away stamp set (from the 2011 Summer Mini catalog) is now retired - as well as the Nautical Expedition DSP and game spinner hands.  The compass image is from the Open Sea set.  How clever of Pam to use a game spinner hand on the compass!

I'm off to Pieces of Heart Demo friend, Jayne Singleton's "Christmas Cards for Soldiers" event.  Thank you so much for peeking in today!

Elements of Style

Hi there....it's me again!  Just wanted to share a pretty card received from my sweet friend, Mary.  She used the Elements of Style stamp set and I'm pretty sure Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz were the ink colors.  Life IS a matter of moments - some good and some not so good.  Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts, girlfriend, 'cause some days are not so good and knowing you care helps!

That's it for now.  Thanks for stopping in!

A Reason to Smile....Last Camp Card!

There are quite a few new products used on this card - at least for me.  Love, love, love the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and coordinating Cannery Framelits that are in the Holiday Catalog and will be available on Aug 1st.  The larger butterfly was stamped and punched out with the new punch (love it!) from the current catalog.  It's such an elegant shape.  Guess that's why they named it Elegant Butterfly.  lol   The flower in the jar is a July promotion special (only available until the end of this month) - spend $50 and you get the Reason to Smile stamp set for only $5!  The label focal piece slips under the circle sentiment to help keep the card closed.

If you do not already have a Demonstrator and would like to order any of these items, please contact me at the information on the right side bar.  It would be a pleasure to help you!

Stamps: A Reason to Smile, Perfectly Preserved, Papillon Potpourri, Petite Pairs
Paper: Pool Party, Raspberry Ripple, White, Lucky Limeade In Color DSP Stack 2011-13 & card stock, Vellum
Ink: Basic Gray, Pool Party (pad & marker), Raspberry Ripple (pad & marker), Primrose Petals marker, Lucky Limeade marker
Tools:  Cannery Framelits, Labels Framelits, Elegant Butterfly punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslit die, 1-1/4” circle punch, 1-3/8” circle punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig (SAMJ)
Other:  Rhinestones, Dimensionals, sponges, acrylic blocks

Hope you have a great weekend and thank you so much for peeking in today!

Stamp Camp Card #2

Hi there!  Here is another card from this past Saturday's Stamp Camp.  It is a dresser card, originally seen on Jackie Topa's blog.  She does such amazing work!  You can check out her blog here.  This could also be a cute baby card by "hanging" baby related items from the drawers.  One of my customers suggested using it to congratulate someone on their new home/apt.  How would you use this card?

A Note For You

Hey there and happy Monday to you!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was a busy and fun one.  First thing Saturday morning I met a couple of friends for breakfast before my Stamp Camp.  We had a full house at Camp!  Thanks ladies for being so supportive and fun!  Right after Camp hubby and I attended our nephew's graduation party.  Then Sunday afternoon Mary Ellen Cope and I met at Jayne Singleton's to discuss our upcoming Christmas Card Workshop prior to our monthly Pieces of Heart Stampers team meeting.  Our up-line and sweet friend, Pam D'Urso, who now lives in Illinois flew into St Louis and was able to attend the meeting - along with her chauffeur (hubby)!  She is so thoughtful - she had goodies for each of us from Momento Mall.  We love Pam.  She is such a wonderful friend and always so generous and spoils us terribly!  She also brought her swaps to share with us.  That's always exciting to look at swaps for new ideas!  We had a good time at the Mexican restaurant.  Those $2 margaritas weren't bad either!  lol  I forgot my camera so no pictures of our challenge - to use paper piercing in some way.  Maybe I can get pics from one of the other team members.  Speaking of cards .....here is one of the projects from my Stamp Camp.

There was a request for a kid card by one of my customers so this is what I CASE'd from Chandra.  Too cute!  Thanks Chandra!  I can't believe the number of comments received on our Demo only web site about this particular card.

Stamps: Teen Tiny Wishes
Paper: White, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake
Ink: Black
Tools:  1/8” Hole punch, 1” Circle punch, corner rounder or 1-1/4” Circle punch to round corners
Other:  Silver brads, Dimensionals
Inspiration: Chandra  http://www.bellevuestampingclub.com  Jun 22, 2010 post

OK that's it for today.  Need to clean up the studio and start deciding what I want to pack for the Girls Getaway weekend retreat beginning next Wednesday.  It will be here before I know it.  Gosh time just flies!

As always, thank you so much for coming by!

The Graduate

Hi there!  Today is my Stamp Camp and our nephew's graduation party.  This is the card he'll be getting.  Of course, it will contain a little extra something!  The sentiment is from a retired set.  Sorry, I don't remember the name.  I'll have to get back to ya on that.

Inspiration - Jackie Topa
Tomorrow is the Pieces of Heart Stampers dinner meeting.  Looking forward to that, too.  So much fun packed into one weekend!

Must run!  Thanks for coming by today!

Soft and Pink

Hi there and happy Friday!  Just wanted to post a quick picture of another birthday card.  This one is for our niece who loves pink.  I made this card at a Demo Camp but  never finished it.  It was looking kind of plain and I couldn't remember what the original card looked like.  Finally it hit me to add some "flowers".  Much better.  The Thoughts and Prayers set can be used for happy occasions, too, not just get well and sympathy cards!

Stamps:  Thoughts and Prayers, Blooming with Kindness
Paper:  Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, White
Ink:  Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Basic Gray
Other:  Certainly Celery satin ribbon, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder

Must scoot - lots to do for the weekend.  It's a busy one!  Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting today!

Branch Out

Whew, it is so hot again.  Can hardly wait until August when we usually have our really hot and humid weather!  Ugh!
OK I have another masculine birthday card for you today.  This one showcases the Branch Out set, which is now retired.

Hmm, the card from yesterday and today must have been during my green and brown phase!  lol

Sunday is our Pieces of Heart Stampers team dinner meeting!  Looking forward to it.  Our up-line, Pam D'Urso, will be returning from Convention and sharing her experiences and swaps with us.  Love getting together with these gals!
Must run so I can work on my challenge for this month's meeting - a project with paper piercing.  I want to at least have an idea of what I'm going to do before I pick up our granddaughter.
Later!  Thanks for stopping in.  Your visits are always appreciated!

Masculine Birthday

Hi there!  This is a scheduled post so that I can meet up with the Wednesday girls.  Today's card is from my stash. The stamp set is a retired one (can't think of the name right now) and was embossed with a folder before SU! ever got into embossing folders.  A little twine and some faux stitching finish off the card.

Have a great day and thank you for coming by today!

Bright Blossoms CASE'd

Good morning.  This is a scheduled post since I'll be with the Wed girls stamping and chatting.  Mostly chatting!  lol
The card below is one that I CASE'd  (Copy And Share Everything) from Deana Schultz when we were at Pam D'Urso's "Little House on the Prairie" Stamping Retreat last month.  (She actually is going to host another one! Yeah!!!)  Deana's card showcases the Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches DSP.  The little "hello" sentiment was borrowed from Pam but I don't remember what set - sorry.

Some 1/2" Scalloped Dots ribbon and a Rhinestone in the flower center finish off this card.  Thanks Deana for such a cute card idea!  Have a great day and thank you for stopping in!

Hi there and happy Monday to you.  I am feeling so very loved and blessed to have such awesome friends and family!  I have received so many beautiful cards, phone calls, emails, and other acts of kindness during this time of grief.  Today I'm sharing some of the handmade sympathy cards received.  Not all of my friends (or family) are stampers.  Your cards are just as meaningful as the handmade ones, so don't feel slighted!  Love them all because you were thinking of my family during this sad time.  Your kindness moves me more than you'll ever know!  Thank you ALL for your love and support!
Here is the first group.  I'll post the rest tomorrow.
