Framed!

Hi there and happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week.  Where does the time go? 

Isn't this frame awesome?  My good friend and upline, Pam D'Urso, made it and sent it to me for securing the #1 spot in sales among our Pieces of Heart team this past quarter (thanks to my wonderful customers!!).  Love it - and my customers/friends!  Unfortunately, I couldn't get the whole frame in the picture but the middle is the best part anyway!  Each little 1-3/8" square is a masterpiece of art in itself.  Penny Thomas (Pam's sister and upline - my second level upline) has been hosting swaps for the TOPICS each holiday.  I participated in the Halloween Squares Swap.  It's such a great way to get different squares rather than coming up with nine or twelve different ideas.  All you have to do is reproduce the same square for however many stampers are participating.

The sun is starting to come out!  The weatherman was predicting yucky weather for this morning - sleet and rain.  Glad that bypassed us!  I could tell a front was moving in, though, by the headache I've had the last couple of days.  Much better now!  Anway, must get on with my day.  Hope you have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping by today!  Your visits are always welcome and appreciated!

Summer Silhouettes

Hi there!  Seems like it's been forever since my last post but it's been less than a week.  So much has been happening in my friends' lives and my own.  The craziness needs to stop!  All I can do is keep everyone in my prayers and be available to help where needed.  Trying to keep a positive attitude and look for the goodin each situation.  So with that in mind, I'll go to the card for today.  The Summer Silhouettes set is one of my favorites.  It's a versatile set - at least in my humble opinion.  This card was one of many that I cranked out one day while playing in my studio.  Funny how some days the creative juices just flow!  The oval was cut out of a piece of scrap cardstock to use as a mask.  Summer Starfruit ink was sponged onto the oval  area of the focal piece, then the images were stamped in Early Espresso ink.  The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts - another great set.

Woodgrain Flower Garden

Hi there!  Hope you're having a good day.  Tonight the Pieces of Heart Stampers are meeting for the first time this year.  That will be fun!  Seems like it's been forever since we've seen each other.

Today's card is another version from yesterday's card made with the Flower Garden embossing folder but with Elegant Eggplant card stock.  This time the white background panel was embossed with the Woodgrain EF.  The direct to paper technique was used, too.  That's when you take the ink pad and run it directly across your paper - a white craft pad in this case.  I used some Smooch spray to add some sparkle.

Flower Garden Get Well

Hi there!  Had a bit of a situation with the computer last week, which is why there haven't been any posts lately.  It's amazing how dependant (addicted?) one gets to the computer.  lol   Unfortunately, my files could not be recovered.  Hard lesson learned about the importance of backing up files on a regular basis!  Discovered that some of the pics on my camera that I hadn't yet deleted were never posted.  Funny how that ended up being a good thing! 

So the above card is one of several cards made a month or so ago but never shared.  Summer Starfruit ink was applied to the inside (flat side) of the Flower Garden embossing folder, added the cardstock, and then ran it through the Big Shot.  I like the effect - kind of a washed look.  The white background panel was embossed with the Square Lattice EF.  My sentiment came from the Delightful Dozen set, which is a great set with sentiments for numerous occasions.

Red Hat Card

Hi there!  Well, we're starting the New Year with some cold temps - 15 degrees.  Brr!  Be sure to wear your hats and gloves!  Speaking of hats....I forgot to share with you one of the projects I designed for a Red Hat group back in early December.  (How's that for a segue?)  The ladies chose this one as their favorite project.  No surprise there, huh?  lol
