Blossom Flower

Hi there!  Today's card is showcasing one that I made at the Card Buffet of fellow Demos (Sally Nusbaum and Kim Coulter) this past Friday night.  The strips of Designer Series Paper are from the Floral District collection.  For the life of me, I can't remember which stamp set was used for the sentiment.  The flower was made by stacking five layers of punched flowers, spritzing with water, then wadding up to obtain that distressed look.  Such a pretty card to personally deliver to the recipient - or carefully wrap to mail!

So Sorry Swallowtail

CASE'd from  LeeAnn Greff

Hi there!  Gosh, I didn't realize that it's been two weeks since my last post.  Yikes!  I returned home from the Girls' Getaway retreat Sunday evening (Apr 21st), spent time perusing the new Stampin' Up! catalog (available on-line to Demonstrators only.  Love it!) and deciding what to pre-order, attended a fellow Demo's Card Buffet Friday night, then attended a Crop for the Cure crop all day Saturday.  Yesterday was spent recuperating from all those late nights!  It's a tough job but somebody has to do it!  lol

There was some stamping going on during my blogging absence.  I was playing around with some techniques and CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) some projects.  The above CASE'd card seen here - scroll down to April 19 post, was sent to a fellow Demonstrator who lost a family member.  I've never met the lady but wanted my "stampin' sister" to know she is in my thoughts during this difficult time.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted
Stamps: Swallowtail Butterfly, So Sorry, Papillon Potpourri, Summer Silhouettes
Paper: Soft Suede, Pool Party
Ink: Versamark, Soft Suede
Other: Elegant Butterfly punch, 3/8" Pool Party ruffled ribbon, pearls, clear embossing powder

Enjoy this beautiful day and thank you for stopping in to visit!

Wish Big!

Hi there and happy tax day!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Mine has been a busy one getting ready to go on another stamping retreat with my stamping peeps!  So without further adieu, I'll get on with today's card.

This is a very simple card made with scrap bits and pieces I had from projects that didn't "make it".  The sentiment is from Word Play.  The Night of Navy patterned paper comes from Stampin' Up!'s Regals DSP Stack.  I did have to punch out a "flame" with the Blossom Petal punch and added some ink around the edges for a bit of definition.  (Not sure about the ink color since I just grabbed a sponge used for red inks.  So whatever residual ink was on the sponge is what transferred to the "flame".)

That's it for now so I can finish getting my projects together for the retreat.  Thank you for stopping in for a visit today!

Hey, Little Birdie!

Hi there and happy Friday!  Just dropping in real quick before meeting a friend for lunch.  I wanted to show you one of the sample cards showcased in our Feb-Mar Card Buffet.  The DSP (Designer Series Paper) and ribbon were freebies during Sale-a-bration.  This was a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) of Penny Smiley's card here (scroll down to Jan 5 post).  Penny used the leaf stem from the Bird Builder punch to "hang" her bird cage.  I chose to use the Tangerine Tango ribbon that coordinated with the Sycamore Street DSP.  I also used Serene Silhouettes for the image - just used markers to ink up the branch and the bird.  This was a popular card with our Buffet attendees.

Must run.  Hope you have a great weekend and thank you for checking in today!

New Wood-Mount Packaging & Bombs Away!

Hi there!  Well we had some severe storms in the area last night, with a tornado to boot!  Some of my friends have damage but, fortunately, everyone is OK - including my family!  Hope everyone gets repairs underway and is back to normal soon!

Today Stampin' Up! announced a new case design for wood-mounted stamps available beginning May 31st!  I am sooo excited about this!  Now ALL my stamps will line up very nicely on the shelf.  Want your other wood-mounted stamps stored the same way?  No problem!  You'll be able to purchase sets of empty cases, too.  And they're not just for stamp storage.  Use them to store all kinds of stuff!

But wait, there's more!

The other exciting news is the release of another photopolymer (clear) stamp set - this time an awesome birthday set named Bombs Away!  You can order this NOW - item #133411 for just $13.95.  How fun!

That's all for now.  Have some errands to run.  Hope you have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Summer Just for You and Color Refresh

Hi there!  Hope your week is going well.  Yesterday was a busy one for me.  The day started with dropping off our signed tax forms (yeah!), stopping by the hospital to load up friends belongings to take to her house, lunch with a friend who is moving out of town, dropping off the belongings and visiting a bit with just-released-from-hospital friend, and lastly, meeting Pieces of Heart team members (and adoptees) for dinner at Houlihan's.  Oh my, their Carrot Cake in a jar is to die for!  Yum, yum!  Anyway, let's get on to the above card.  Thought I'd use Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery - two colors that will be retiring as part of the Color Refresh the end of May.  I haven't used Certainly Celery much since we have other greens but I will miss Baja Breeze.  The flower/leaf  images are from the Summer Silhouettes set.  Love this set!  The sentiment came from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit, which is in the Stampin' Up! Spring catalog on page 18.

Just in case you haven't seen which colors are retiring, here's a thumbnail shot:

OK, must run.  Thank you soooo much for stopping in today!

Doggone Cute!

Hi there and happy Monday to you!  Hope you had a good weekend.  Mine was busy with attending our granddaughter's soccer game on Saturday and our Card Buffet at DeLeo's on Sunday.  What a great group of ladies!  Thank you all soooo much for making our day!
The above card was one that appeared on our Buffet in Feb.  It could easily be changed to neutral tones and used for a boys birthday - or for grown up kids!  Who doesn't love a cute puppy?  Thanks to Dee Slater for the inspiration.  She has a video here.

Stamps: You are Loved – inside sentiment “Hope today finds you feeling as loved as you really are!”
Paper: White, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Riding Hood Red, Black
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Black marker, White gel pen
Tools: Hearts Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, circle from Itty Bitty pack, Full Heart punch, 1” circle punch, Small Oval (retired)

Mixed Swallowtail

Hi there and happy Friday!  I'm ready to get back on the blogging bandwagon.  Life sure got crazy there for a bit.  Thank you for being so patient with me!  Soooo, let's get to the card.  This oversized butterfly stamp is one of my favorites from the Spring catalog.  Black StazOn ink was used to stamp the butterfly image, then I just sponged on colors - Elegant Eggplant and Tempting Turquoise.  There might be some Marina Mist, too.  The flower from Mixed Bunch was stamped, then punched out.  Boy, the blues of the butterfly sure don't match that of the flower in this photo.  The butterfly looks more like Island Indigo.  You'll have to trust me on this that they coordinated.  lol

Stamps: Swallowtail, Mixed Bunch
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise, White
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise, Marina Mist
Other: Blossom punch, 3/4" circle punch, Dimensionals

That's it for now.  Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by today!
