Butterfly Courtesy of Starbucks

Hi there and happy Friday!  Most of you will have a nice, long weekend.  I've been out all day - a lot of crazy drivers out there!  It has been so hot this week, too.

Been going through photos and came across the above card that I CASE'd while at Pam D'Urso's the last time we Demos were at her home.  The large butterfly was punched out from a Starbucks coffee wrapper, of all things!  A piece of cardboard could probably be used to get the same effect.  The sentiment came from the Blooming with Kindness set.

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness
Paper: Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Pink Piouette, Vellum
Ink: Crumb Cake
Other: Elegant butterfly punch, Bitty butterfly punch, XL Oval punch, Designer Frames embossing folder, pearls

That's all for now.  Hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend.  Thanks for coming by today!

Sketched Swallowtail

Hi there!  Today I have another birthday card to share with you.  It is similar to the one I made here but with a few changes.  A flower from Simply Sketched was substituted for the leaf image.  It was embossed with clear embossing powder and colored in with a brush and some ink from Crisp Cantaloupe, Tangerine Tango, and Old Olive.  (The flower looks much better in real life than it does here.)  An additional butterfly was added and the placement is different.  Next I want to try the new In Colors using this design.

Must go now to work on my to-do list.  Thank you for coming by!

Poodle Pup

Hi there and happy Wednesday!  Working on cards for birthdays and other upcoming events.  Found this cute punch art poodle on Mary Rindal's site here.  I thought this would be a perfect card for my aunt who has a poodle.

Scallop Oval = top of head
Small Oval (retired) x 2 = ears
standard hole punch x 3 = eyes & nose
3/4" Circle = collar
1" Circle = collar (punch around the 3/4" negative space to get collar)
Scallop Circle x 2 = body
Modern Label, trim out middle = legs/feet
Word Window = tail
Trio Flowers (retired) = hair on legs & tail
Full Heart Punch = head/face

The square brad came from my stash.  I snipped off the legs and secured to the collar with a glue dot.  The Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper is from the Brights Stack, which is now retired.  (A new Stack with new patterns became available May 31st)

That's it for now.  Hope you have a great day and thanks for visiting today!

Hi there!  Working on Card Buffet and Christmas Card Workshop projects so this will be a quick post.  The above card was on the sample board for our July and August Card Buffets.  The Bombs Away set contains photopolymer clear stamps.  The sentiment "Congratulations! The music you grew up on is now considered Classic Rock" makes me laugh.  Oh, so true!

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted

Paper: Pacific Point, Black, White, Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral
Ink: Black
Tools: 3/4” circle punch, 1-3/4” circle punch, 1/8” hole punch

Betsy's Garden

Hi there!  Been busy working on projects most of the day.  Time just slipped away and I realized I hadn't posted yet.  So, here it is....a card that I made quite some time ago but felt it needed "something" else.  Today I decided to fix it by adding a layered blossom on the strip of Floral Garden DSP, which is now retired.  It's OK.  At least it's better than before.

That's my post for today.  Gonna get to bed early.  Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend!

Remembering Your Birthday - Late!

Hi there!  Gosh it's already the middle of the week.  Where did the time go?   Still playing catch up after being out of town.  So let's get to today's card, shall we?  It's a belated birthday card using the candle image from Cycle Celebration set and the sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday.  The elephant (from Zoo Babies) was stamped in Raspberry Ripple ink, cut out, and popped up on Dimensionals on a strip of Birthday Basics DSP (Designer Series Paper).  A black Sharpie was used to color a pearl for the elephant's eye and a little Dazzling Diamond glitter was used on the candle "flames" for the finishing touch.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted
Stamps: Remembering Your Birthday, Zoo Babies, Cycle Celebration
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple, Vanilla, Gray, Crisp Cantaloupe
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Gray, Raspberry Ripple
Other: Dimensionals, pearls, black Sharpie, glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds

Must scoot to tackle my to-do list.  Thanks for stopping in today for a visit!

Getting Beachy!

Hi there and happy Friday!  Today is the last scheduled post this week.  I'll be home Sunday from the girls getaway retreat and back to reality!  lol
Today's card was pretty much a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of Michelle McGraw's card posted on her blog here.  She's so clever!  I added a seashell but omitted the twine and Crystal Effects - and used Stampin' Up! inks, of course.  This was another sample card in our Card Buffet last month.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise ntoed.
Stamps: Baby Prints, By the Tide
Paper: Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Vanilla, White
Ink: Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Soft Sky, Soft Suede
Tools:  Sponges, dauber, scissors, clear blocks
Other: cotton swabs (to color inside of seashell)
Inspiration: Michelle McGraw

Hope you have a great weekend.  Thank you for visiting today!

Wetlands

Hi there!  This is a scheduled post while I'm stamping and chillaxing at the girls getaway retreat!  I know I'm having fun!  lol
This card was CASE'd from one that was made at Sally Nusbaum's Demo Shoebox Swap back in June.  I believe it was Kathy Morales' swap card, but not totally sure about that.  LOVE this stamp set so this card was a no brainer to be in our Card Buffet line-up!  We're always looking for masculine cards, right?

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Wetlands, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Soft Suede
Tools:  Oval Framelits, Woodgrain embossing folder
Other:  Natural Trim ribbon, blender pen, sponges, post-it notes (for masking), clear block

That's it for today.  Thank you so much for peeking in today!

Lollipop, Lollipop...

Hi there!  Today's post is a scheduled one while I get ready for the girls getaway retreat tomorrow.  And while I'm away having a stamping good time with my peeps this week, I've scheduled some blog posts for you!
Today's card is a swap card that I finished Sunday evening.  I messed up the paper piercing on the original card.  (See, even we Demos make mistakes!)  This was Deana Schultz's shoebox swap card from Sally Nusbaum's event back in June.  Don't those pastel 2013-15 In Colors look yummy? Great colors for a lollipop!

Serene Thoughts of You

Hi there!  Here we are starting a new week.  Wow, where does the time go?  Saturday was our Card Buffet and we had such a good time.  Met some new people and loved chatting with everyone!  Thanks ladies for an awesome day!
I am getting ready for our quarterly "girls getaway" retreat beginning Wednesday, so this will be short.  Seems like that's all I say lately, huh?  (I plan to schedule some blog posts, but no guarantees.)  We're getting into our busy season preparing for Christmas Workshops, holidays, etc.  My calendar is booked for every weekend in September and October!  Anyway, details below about this easy card.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted

New Home

Hi there and happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week!  Mine sure ended up being a lot busier than planned, which is the reason I didn't get to blog for the last couple of days!  So without further ado, I'll get to the card for today.
One of my customers requested a card for a new home.  So this is what I came up with.  The house is made from a square of the new 2013-15 In Color Baked Brown Sugar Designer Series Paper Stack and coordinating cardstock roof .  Love the new In Colors!  The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials set.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Sweet Essentials, One in a Million (Wishing you a lifetime of happiness - inside sentiment)
Paper: DSP Stack-Baked Brown Sugar, Baked Brown Sugar, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, White
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party
Tools:  Small heart punch, Finishing Touches Edgelits, bird punch, Cupcake Builder punch, Itty Bitty flower punch, stylus, foam mat
Other:  glue dots, Dimensionals, sponges, Pearls

Must run now - taking a little day trip to pick up our son about 1-1/2 hrs away.  Saturday is our Card Buffet at DeLeo's in Florissant.  So it's still busy!  Hope you have a great weekend!  I appreciate you stopping by for a visit!

Thumping Technique

Hi there!  How's your week going so far?  I'll be leaving shortly to pick up our granddaughter for an overnight visit.  So with that in mind, let's get to the card for today.  I tried the thumping technique on the Swallowtail Butterfly stamp.  The stamp was first inked up with Soft Suede, then thumped randomly with Garden Green, More Mustard, and Elegant Eggplant markers.  A flourish from Flowering Flourishes was then stamped using Garden Green ink.  Some Itty Bitty flowers were punched out in Elegant Eggplant with More Mustard centers (from a standard hole punch).  This card is lacking something or maybe it's the Garden Green flourish.  It just doesn't do it for me.  Thought you might like to try your hand at the thumping technique, though, so that's why I'm sharing this project.  The results will be different each time.

That's it for now.  Thanks for stopping in to visit today!

Mixed Bunch

Hi there and happy Monday!  This week will be a busy one so I'll just get right to the card for today.  It is one that I received from Pam D'[Urso, my friend and upline.  There were some retired products used to make this pretty card.  First of all, the color Baha Breeze retired - as well as the square scallop die and the crimper.  Pam lined the envelope with Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper to coordinate with the ribbon and the flower center.  So pretty.

Sorry but that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by today!
