Hey There!

Hi there and happy Monday morning!  Hope you had an enjoyable weekend.  Mine was busy but a fun one.  Saturday was our annual Christmas Card Workshop.  (Sure wasn't Christmas weather when you stepped outside, though. lol)   A huge "Thank You" to all who came!  We had such a good time!  Yesterday was spent with a friend who recently lost her husband.  She had invited some of her other good friends over for a little get together.  We had a great time!  The laughter was good for all of us.
Lately my time has been spent preparing for our Christmas Card Workshop and other projects that will be revealed later.  So, the card today is one that I made at Jayne Singleton's Stamp Camp earlier this month.  The image is a single stamp by Stampin' Up! called Hey There Buds.  Three of our In Colors were applied to the stamp using our Stampin' Write Markers.  Those colors are Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, and Blackberry Bliss.  A bit of  Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper and the Large Polka Dot embossed background peeks out from under the focal piece.  Some coordinating ribbon and button add the finishing touches.
OK, I'm off to tackle my to-do list.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Your visits are always appreciated!

It's a Haunt!

Hi there!  Stopping in real quick to share the August 3x3 thank you notes that were slipped into my customer's order bags.  Stampin' Up!s Holiday Home stamp set and coordinating Homemade Holiday Framelits (buy them as a bundle and save!) were used to make this little card.  The ghost was fussy cut but worth the effort.
Must get going to tackle the long to-do list.  Thank you so much for visiting today!

Timeless Talk

Hi there!  Today I'm sharing one of the cards we made at Jayne Singleton's Stamp Camp this past Saturday.  The old time telephone image is from Stampin' Up!s Timeless Talk set layered on a background of Back to Black Designer Series Paper in two different patternsA little bling (a rhinestone colored with a Cherry Cobbler Blendability marker) adds the finishing touch.
Later the Christmas Card Workshop team is meeting for dinner.  Afterwards, we're going to package up the customer kits for Saturday.  It's a busy week of final preparations.  Must run....thank you for looking in today!

Dots For You

Hi there and happy Monday!  Hope you enjoyed your weekend.  Saturday I was able to attend Jayne Singleton's Stamp Camp and hang out with her afterwards.  We were assembling our kits for the Christmas Card Workshop coming up on Saturday.  Spent a little time with our son and granddaughter on Sunday.  Enough chit chat - let's get to the card.  I CASE'd it to use for the Card Buffet that Mary Taylor and I host bi-monthly.  It is similar to a card that I received as a swap.  Unfortunately, the person didn't put their name on the back.  Several images from the Work of Art stamp set were used.  Some Baker's Twine was wrapped around the top portion that was nipped out with a 1/2" circle punch.  The tag was made by cutting out cardstock with the Chalk Talk Framelits.  An easy and feminine looking card that could be used for many occasions.

That's all.....thanks for visiting today!

Grunge Birthday

Hi there!  Hope you're having a terrific week.  Yesterday was "catch up" day for things that needed attention around the house.  Today I'm back with another sample from our Card Buffet display board.  This is an easy card with a lot of impact.  A big thanks goes to Deana Schultz for her swap card that I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything).  Love the color combination, too!  The only difference is the greeting used on the banner, which is from the Fabulous Four set.  The "splatters" were made from images in the Gorgeous Grunge set.  A simple "balloon" made with punches completes the card.  Easy peasy!

That's it - must work on final preparations for our Christmas Card Workshop being held on September 27.  Thank you so much for stopping in today!

Honeycomb Watercolor Technique

Hi there and happy Friday!  Hope you've been enjoying the cooler temperatures and have fun plans for the weekend.  My weekend is another busy one.  So without further adieu, let's get to the card.  This watercolor technique began with the Honeycomb embossing folder.  Ink was randomly sponged onto the open embossing folder with a dauber (the side with the Stampin' Up! logo), then lightly spritzed with water.  A piece of watercolor paper was placed into the embossing folder.  The embossing folder was closed and then rubbed with my fingers to transfer/move the ink.  Results will be different each time, depending on the placement of colors and amount of pressure used to rub the embossing folder.  The colors used in this sample are Blushing Bride, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pistachio Pudding.  Various punched pieces were used to embellish the watercolor background, which is layered onto a Crisp Cantaloupe card base.  A leaf cut from Glimmer paper using the Little Leaves Sizzlit die (now retired) finishes off the card with bit of bling.

Must get packed up for a Crop later this afternoon.  Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Work of Art Flowers

Hi there!  Feels like fall today so I'm sharing some flowers made with the Work of Art set that are typically fall colors.  This set by Stampin' Up! has become one of my favorites and is very versatile.  The colors used are Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, and a bit of Daffodil Delight for the flower centers.  There are endless color combinations and it's fun to see the results.  Give it a try!

Must get busy to finish preparing for our Card Buffet on Tuesday.  Yesterday I spent the day and most of the night with a very good friend who just lost her husband.

Thank you for stopping in today.  Your visits are always appreciated!

Ornamental Christmas

Hi there!  Popping in real quick with a Christmas card that was on our Card Buffet display board. Yep, Christmas will be here before you know it!  Debbie Henderson's card was the inspiration for mine.  You can see her card here (scroll down to June 30th post).  A few changes were made, making it my own.  The embossed layer and ornament were enhanced by swiping Silver Encore ink across them, highlighting the raised areas.
Must scoot to go have lunch with my granddaughter for a Grandparents Day celebration that her school is hosting.  Thanks for stopping in today!

Num - Num

Hi there!  Ready for a new week?  Hope you had a good weekend.  Mine was busy with our Card Buffet and having the granddaughter for the weekend.  A big thank you to all the ladies who came to our Card Buffet!  Mary Taylor and I appreciate your support!
My card share today is another swap from the Stampin' Up! Convention that Sally Nusbaum attended.  Sally was kind enough to bring them to the crop we attended after her return.  Sorry for the glare on all of her swaps.  I didn't want to remove from the protective cello envelope on the off chance of getting the card dirty.  Love this version of the Cookie Monster which pairs up perfectly with the Num-Num stamp set.  (You can find this set on page 17 of the 2014-15 Annual Catalog.)  It is a great set to dress up those packaged goodies, especially with the holidays just around the corner!  It appears that the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch was used for Cookie's head and folded down part of the way after adhering a black semi-circle.  Circles were punched out for his eyes.  His "hands" were punched out from the Boho Blossoms Punch.  The sentiment was stamped, then punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.  The Topnote Die was used to cut out the black background, which is adhered to a Pacific Point card base.
Must get busy now to work on my swaps for the Demo Shoebox Swap that Sally has organized for us on Sunday.  Looking forward to the fun!  Thank you so much for stopping in today!

Under the Sea

Hi there and happy Friday!  My apologies for not posting yesterday - just ran out of time.  I'm back with one of the numerous swaps Sally Nusbaum shared with us when she returned from the Stampin' Up! Convention.  What you can't tell from the picture, is that the octopus travels around the circular channel.  Cool, huh?  Most of the stamped images are from Sea Street.  The sentiment is from the Yippee-Skippee set.  Lullaby Designer Series Paper was used for the semi-circle of gold fish (heat embossed with gold embossing powder) and for the "sand".  A very cute and creative card!

Must pack up for our Card Buffet tomorrow before I pick up the granddaughter for the weekend later this afternoon!  Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in today!

Cheery Make a Wish

Hi there!  Can you believe it's September already?  Yikes!  Christmas will be here before you know it!  Let's not waste any more time and get to today's card, which is another make-n-take the Hostess Club girls made.  Yep, more polka dots!  Inspiration for this card came from Susan Itell.  Love her work!  (Maybe she loves polka dots, too.  lol)  You can see her card here posted August 18th.  There were a few things I changed, like the placement of the stars.  Also there were some things omitted, such as the penwork on the stars and the Word Window sentiment.  The tag is a little different, too.  I decided to stamp the "a" on some scrap white cardstock with Strawberry Slush ink, punched it out with the 1/2" Circle Punch and popped it up on Dimensionals.  The ribbon was knotted and sits on top of the tag (adhered with glue dots) rather than looping it through the hole, which would have resulted in me ripping the tag.  (Don't know my own strength!  lol)  I love the cheeriness of this card and never would have thought of using this color combination.  Thanks Susan!

Flower Patch

Hi there and happy Labor Day!  Hope you've been enjoying your long weekend.  Mine has been pretty lowkey but that's OK.
Today's card was inspired by one pinned on Pinterest, which became one of the cards that the Hostess Club members made.  They loved it.  It was easy to assemble once all the pieces were stamped and cut out with the coordinating Framelits.  Gotta love that!   (Tip for using photopolymer stamps: Use a foam mat under your project when stamping.  This will ensure more even coverage of the ink. )
That's it for today.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thank you for coming by!
