Boo to You!

Hi there!  Back again today with another Card Buffet sample.  Love, love, love the intricate spider web!  (I only used 1/4 of one.)  You can purchase a package of 24 Spider Web Doilies, found in the Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday Catalog.  The other side of the doily is white.  The color could easily be changed by dabbing on some ink in a color to match your project.  As in yesterday's card, the Boo to You Framelits were used for the word Boo!  Images of the bat and spider came from another set called, Cheer all Year.  A strip of Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper was used at the top.  (Cute little ghosts, huh?)   Good Greetings, a retired set, was used on the front.  Rather than ink up part of the sentiment, I actually cut off the word boo to make it easier to stamp onto the card front.  No worries!  It can still be assembled together on a block.

Must finish some things around here before picking up my granddaughter from school.  She has a 1/2 day so we're having lunch together.  Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in today!

Witch Owl

Hi there!  Thought I'd better get the Halloween cards posted before it's over.  This was one of the cards on my Buffet.  It showcases two stamp sets - both from Stampin' Up!  They are, Howl-o-ween Treat and the inside sentiment (Happy Haunting) is from Cheer all Year.  No fussy cutting the owl or the accessories, either!  There are coordinating Boo to You Framelits for that task!  (Buy the stamp set and Framelits as a bundle for a 15% discount.)  How about that sparkly hat from our new Black Glimmer Paper?  Love it!  All of these products (and more) can be found in the 2015 Holiday Catalog.  Please contact me, if you'd like to place an order - and you don't already have a Demonstrator.  Thanks in advance!

Must get going - there's work to be done.  Thank you for stopping by today!

Try a Technique!

Hi there!  Popping in real quick to share a fun technique that France Martin (Frenchie) demonstrated in one of her videos.  You can view it HERE.   The background color used on the Woodlands embossing folder (by Stampin' Up!) is Pool Party.  I used the car from the Guy Greetings set, but a number of images could be used.  Hope you give it a try!  It's a lot of fun.

Must get going before the girls show up for Card Buffet.  Thank you for stopping in today!

Stamp Out Breast Cancer Weekend Crop

Hi there!  Been catching up on emails and household stuff.  Thursday I left for Sally Nusbaum's Columbus Day weekend crop and returned Sunday evening.  These annual crops are held at the beautiful Holiday Shores Resort, (more info here) Lake of the Ozarks, MO. ( If you're looking for a place to vacation or a venue for business meetings, this place is great!  It is clean, well maintained, and the people are so nice and very accommodating.)  This years crop theme was Stamp Out Breast Cancer.  The pink covered tables and cowgirl décor was so fun.  Pictured above is the adorable frame that had each person's name designating their crop table.  (Everyone had their own 6' table. Yee haw!)  The local Hy-Vee grocery store catered our meals.  Oh my!  Not only were the meals absolutely delicious and the amounts more than plentiful, they were also prompt delivering them!  We had a ton of food left after each meal, so we gave it to the employees of the resort.

Pretty presentation of the menu
Our wonderful meals!

Not only did we have an abundance of food - we also had gifts and raffle prizes!  Pictured below are some of the table gifts.

A bag filled with yummy snacks

More yummy goodness - a cookie and a Ghirardelli chocolate

A mini chocolate bar in the pouch was a thank you gift for assembling cards at the
 Card Care Connection table
Sally had a table with card kits that we could assemble for Card Care Connection.  This is a non-profit agency that sends the cards with an uplifting message to cancer patients.

A group shot of the "cowgirl" croppers!

Oh, forgot to mention that on Saturday there was a massage therapist!  It was a FUN weekend with very little sleep.  A huge thanks to Sally for organizing a great weekend crop!  Can't wait for next year!  Sally has already started making plans.  She's calling it Save the Hooters - an owl theme.  Come join us next Columbus Day weekend!

Must get to bed now.  Thank you for stopping by today!

You've Got This

Hi there and happy Wednesday.  Todays card is showcasing a couple of products from the Stampin' Up! 2015-16 Annual Catalog.  They are the Fluttering embossing folder (love it) and the stamp set, You've Got This.  The main color palette is Wisteria Wonder (a color that doesn't get used much by me), with a hint of Pear Pizzazz for the stem.  The larger butterfly is So Saffron, as is the flower stamen.  A die from a non-SU source was used to cut out the flower.  This is a simple card and can be used for various occasions.

That's it for now.  Thanks for stopping in today!

Acorny Hi Card Buffet Sneak Peek

Hi there!  Thought I'd share one of the cards you can make at my Card Buffet.  Just in time for Fall, huh?  The stamp set, Acorny Thank You, can be found in the 2015-16 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  There is a coordinating punch for the acorn images. (Purchase the stamp set and punch as a bundle to save an additional 15%.)  The Designer Series Paper, Into the Woods, carries out the acorn theme.

Must sign off - lots to do plus errands to run.  Thank you for stopping by for a visit!

No Bones About It

Hi there!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was a busy one so it's taking me longer to get things done today.  Guess that's called getting older.

Here is a card made with the No Bones About It  and Work of Art stamp sets - both by Stampin' Up!  Don't have the "right" Designer Series Paper?  Make your own!  The above background panel was pulled from my stash made a while back.  The ink colors used for the Work of Art "blob" image are Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, and Gumball Green (retired).  The dinosaur skeleton on the focal piece was stamped using black ink, then the Smoky Slate body was stamped over the skeleton image.  Since this is a photopolymer set, it was easy to align the images.

Go have some fun making your own backgrounds.  The possibilities are endless!

Thank you for coming by today!
