Disney Love

Hi there!  Today has started out with rain and gray skies but the sun may shine later.  At least the temperatures will only be in the 80's, as opposed to the 90-100 degree temperatures that we've had lately!  Way too hot!

Last week ended up being busier than usual.  As a result, there were no blog posts.  But I do have one today!  This is another card made from bits and pieces that I have accumulated over time (like most stampers).  Mickey's head was cut out on a Cricut and gifted to me many years ago.  A Stampin' Up! embossing folder, Large Polka Dot, was used for the background piece.  The "love" sentiment and heart were also made using Stampin' Up! products.  Such a fast and simple card.

Must run - Grandma is being beckoned!  Thank you for stopping by today!

Tool Time!

Hi there and happy Friday to you!   Another card today using bits and pieces of leftover card parts.  The cog pieces, from the retired Stampin' Up! Cog punch, were leftover from another masculine card made years go.  The Marina Mist background panel was embossed with the Zig Zag embossing folder, also retired.  A little nip out of a circle with the newly retired Word Window punch adhered to a "handle" makes an easy wrench.
Must get busy on my to-do list.   Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  Thanks for peeking in today!

Angry Bird

Hi there!  Didn't have a chance to post earlier.  The grandbaby and granddog required more of my attention today.  Now, about the above card.....it is another one assembled from bits and pieces left from other projects.  The punch art Angry Bird is several years old.  (You don't hear much about Angry Birds these days.)  Mostly circle and heart punches were used to make him.  He was added to a panel embossed with the Stampin' Up! Brick Wall embossing folder.  Quick and easy!

Must run.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Travelin' Man.....

Hi there!  Whenever I see or hear the name of this set (Traveler) I just can't help but think of the song, Travelin' Man, by the Lynyrd Skynyrd band.  Now it will be in my head all day!  But you didn't come here to read about that.
The last couple of weeks I've been on a quest to clean out and integrate "stuff" from my old stamp room into the new one.  (A task that has been ignored long enough - like a year!)  Part of that process has entailed going through leftover class kits and years of bits and pieces that didn't get used on cards for whatever reason.  The above card was made from some of those bits and pieces.  In fact, I don't recall the name of the embossing folder used for the background panel.  That should give you an idea how old some of the stuff is!  If you're a stamper, you can probably relate.  The Deco Label Framelits and Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon are also retired.  However, the Traveler stamp set is still current in the Stampin' Up! 2016-17 Annual Catalog.

Must tend to my grandson.  Have a great day and thank you for peeking in today!

Swirly Bird

Hi there!  Thought I'd do a quick post while my grandson is napping.  Never know how long those will be.  Lol.

Today's card showcases a set from the 2016-17 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog called Swirly Bird.  It is a versatile set so I'm happy to have ordered the bundle.  Some of the new In Colors were used, too.  In fact, all but Dapper Denim was used.  The "splotch" image is included in the set.

Someone is awake - need to run.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!

Double Drapery Fold Technique

Hi there and happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend and you're ready for a technique.  It's  another drapery fold technique - this time a double fold.  (You can glimpse the single/regular drapery fold in my April 8th blog post HERE.)  The Designer Series Paper used is some really old Stampin' Up! DSP called Cottage Wall.  (Yes, I'm one of those people who hate cutting into that pretty paper!  This year I'm determined to change my ways.)  There are videos on You Tube with instructions for this technique.  I happened to watch Deb Valder's.  Current products used for this card - Botanical Builder Framelits and a sentiment from Jar of Love.

Wishing you a wonderful week!  Thanks so much for visiting!!

Painted Blooms Sympathy

Hi there!  I'm back with another card image that has been sitting in the computer waiting to be posted. The focal piece is from the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper, which was in the 2015 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog.  Such lovely paper!  I felt the DSP was elegant enough for a sympathy card to send to my daughter's friend, who lost her grandma a few months ago.  This card was totally designed from bits and pieces (current and retired) that we all seem to accumulate over time.  So go check out your "bits and pieces" to see what you can make!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Your visits are always welcome!

Sunflowers

Hi there!  A version of today's card is one I had seen ages ago but only got around to making a couple of months ago.   Some of the Stampin' Up! punches used and the sentiment stamp set have since retired.  The Rose Garden Thinlits used for the leaves are still current, though!

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Minnie Mouse

Hi there!  It has been a while since my last post - to say the least!  Blogging has taken a back seat to other aspects of my life, namely babysitting my 4-month old grandson every day.  He is such a joy!  And speaking of grandchildren, the card for today is one that I made for my granddaughter's birthday last month.  Her aunt (my oldest daughter) promised to take her to Disneyworld after she turned nine.  Now you know the reason behind the theme of the card.  Lol.

Sorry this is brief.  Have a great evening and thanks so much for stopping in for a visit!
