Love Chocolate!

Inspiration by Christi Waite

Hi there!  Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend.  It was great to spend time with family and getting my "baby fix" by holding my month old grandson!  But let's get down to business, shall we? The above card was showcased for Valentine's Day at my Card Buffet.  It could also be used for an anniversary or just to let someone know that you love them.  The sentiment is from the Lovely Amazing You stamp set by Stampin' Up!  The "bonbons" were made with the 1-1/2" Circle punch, then embossed with the retired Square Lattice embossing folder. Other punches used were the Heart Border punch and the Cupcake Builder punch (for the cherries).

That's all for today.  Must run some errands.  Have a great day and thank you for peeking in today!

Watercolor Birthday

Hi there!  So, here is a card that I made from parts that were left over from other projects or experimental pieces.  The background was made by sponging on a few ink colors onto the inside of an embossing folder, then spritzing with water.  Place a piece of watercolor paper or light colored cardstock on top of ink and rub with your fingers.  Remove paper from the embossing folder.  Voila!  You have a cool looking background!  The Honeycomb embossing folder by Stampin' Up! was used in this sample.  An embellishment was made with the Cupcake Builder Punch and circle punches.  A few banners were added for a festive look.  (The colors look much better in real life than they do in the photo.)

A big THANKS to everyone who braved the cold to attend our Card Buffet yesterday!  We appreciate your support - but mostly your friendship!

Must get a few things done before running some errands.  Thanks for peeking in today!

What's in Your Purse?

Hi there!  Today I have another Card Buffet sample that was displayed during May and June.  It is so easy!  Jill Franchett was the inspiration for this CASE'd clean and simple card.  You can view her card here.   The only thing different is the Designer Series Paper.  Jill used Stampin' Up!s Fresh Prints (now retired) where I used Polka Dot Parade (also retired).

Stamps: Bring on the Cake (retired Jun 2014)
Paper: Black, White, Polka Dot Parade DSP Stack (retired Jun 2014)
Ink: Black
Tools:  Cupcake Builder punch, 1/2” Circle punch, 3/4" Circle punch
Other:  Rhinestones

That's it for now.  Thanks for coming by for a visit!  Stop in any time!

New Home

Hi there and happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week!  Mine sure ended up being a lot busier than planned, which is the reason I didn't get to blog for the last couple of days!  So without further ado, I'll get to the card for today.
One of my customers requested a card for a new home.  So this is what I came up with.  The house is made from a square of the new 2013-15 In Color Baked Brown Sugar Designer Series Paper Stack and coordinating cardstock roof .  Love the new In Colors!  The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials set.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Sweet Essentials, One in a Million (Wishing you a lifetime of happiness - inside sentiment)
Paper: DSP Stack-Baked Brown Sugar, Baked Brown Sugar, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, White
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party
Tools:  Small heart punch, Finishing Touches Edgelits, bird punch, Cupcake Builder punch, Itty Bitty flower punch, stylus, foam mat
Other:  glue dots, Dimensionals, sponges, Pearls

Must run now - taking a little day trip to pick up our son about 1-1/2 hrs away.  Saturday is our Card Buffet at DeLeo's in Florissant.  So it's still busy!  Hope you have a great weekend!  I appreciate you stopping by for a visit!
