Hi there! It has been a while since my last post - to say the least! Blogging has taken a back seat to other aspects of my life, namely babysitting my 4-month old grandson every day. He is such a joy! And speaking of grandchildren, the card for today is one that I made for my granddaughter's birthday last month. Her aunt (my oldest daughter) promised to take her to Disneyworld after she turned nine. Now you know the reason behind the theme of the card. Lol.
Sorry this is brief. Have a great evening and thanks so much for stopping in for a visit!

Such a Lamb!
Hi there! Dropping in real quick to show you a card made at Jayne Singleton's Stamp Camp this past Sunday. Thought it was perfect to send to my infant grandson for his first Easter. Even though he is too young to appreciate a card from grandma, his mom will. lol This cute little Easter Lamb can be found in the Stampin' Up! 2016 Occasions Catalog. It is a single stamp, which could also be used to congratulate anyone with a new baby. The Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper is a Sale-A-Bration freebie (with a qualifying purchase).
Must get to bed. Thank you for stopping in today!

Baby Elephant Hello
Hi there! Hope you had a great weekend! Mine certainly was! I attended a weekend crop at the Drury Inn in Arnold, MO and had such a fun time with the other croppers! The accommodations were fantastic and the staff was AMAZING - super nice and very friendly! Now it's just a matter of catching up on sleep... and getting back into a daily routine.
One of the cards I made at the crop is this funky elephant. Isn't he just adorable? He was made from the Cups & Kettle Framelits, with a few snips of the scissors here and there. The idea came from Kelly Kent HERE posted Jan 24, 2016. (Some people are just so clever!) When I saw Kelly's card, I had to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it to send to my daughter and son-in-law congratulating them on the birth of my new grandbaby! It's the perfect card since his nursery just happens to have an elephant theme in blue and gray! The free Sale-A-Bration set, Hello, was used for the "hello" sentiment and "baby" came from the Tin of Cards set.

Must get busy on some household chores. Thanks for coming by today!

Fancy Fold Valentine
Yesterday the youngest daughter and I baked Christmas cookies all day. We made approximately 58 dozen. That's a whole lot of baking! We both were beat by the time we finished but we enjoyed our time together.
Valentines Day will be here before you know it. Thus, my card choice for the Hostess Club members last month. Cindy Williams' swap card was my inspiration, only hers was a Christmas card. The Red Glimmer heart is on a strip of acetate that gives the illusion of a floating heart. Small Red Glimmer hearts are repeated in the lower border strip. A closure was made using an image from A Round Array and punching it out with circle punches.
Mary Taylor and I will be hosting a 2015 Calendar Class at DeLeo's in Florissant, MO on December 21 (for those who want to make last minute Christmas gifts or a gift for yourself). A second class is planned for January 4, 2015. If you would like to attend, please contact me. (See side bar or header for contact info.) RSVP's are required as class is limited to 20.
Must get going on my to-do list. Thanks so much for popping in today!

Flashback Smiles
Hi there and happy Friday! Hope you've had a good week. Life has been a little calmer this week. Good thing because the granddog loves attention - when he isn't sleeping. lol Looking forward to our Hostess Club meeting tomorrow - just need to load my tote into the car. Afterwards, hubby and I will be going to my sister-in-law's annual bonfire/birthday party. But for now, how about another card from our Card Buffet display board? This camera shaped card was inspired by Debbie
Henderson's card seen here and by Valerie Moody's card here - posted Nov 27th. Thank you ladies for such wonderful inspiration!
Must sign off now to run errands and then get into the kitchen to make a treat for the party tomorrow. Have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping in today!

Ombre Wetlands
Hi there! Today is another sample of a card that the Club ladies made at our meeting on Tuesday. The inspiration came from Linda Heller's Stamping School, which you can join here for a nominal fee. She has done all the work of figuring out the measurements. There is a video to watch, plus she has an instruction sheet with a supply list that can be printed. This Ombre technique is a little bit of a challenge but fun to do. Love the results!
That's it for now - much to do before the weekend. Thank you for stopping by today!

Traveler
Hi there! Here it is another Friday. Seems like we just did that! How time flies when we're having fun. Speaking of fun, today's card is another sample from our Card Buffet. The Traveler set by Stampin' Up! was used for the train and valise images. Love this set! Four of the five In Color inks were used, giving the card more of a vintage look. It's a little difficult to see the vertical strip under the postage stamps that was embossed with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder. The train image was stamped, cut out with a Circle Framelit, and adhered to the World Map background. Some of the ladies at our Buffet did a little moaning (all in fun, of course) because the valise required fussy cutting.
Must sign off now to finish getting ready for two days of fun with my stampin' peeps. Have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping by for a look today!

Ladybug, Ladybug...
Hi there and happy hump day! Hope you're having a good week. Yesterday was a productive day running errands after having lunch with a friend. Spending time with friends is always good! But now it's time to tell you about the card. This is one that I made for Kathy Boxdorfer, a friend and fellow Demonstrator, to wish her a happy birthday. Kathy loves ladybugs. A search on the internet lead me to Karien's card here. I chose to do a full circle cut out with Framelits, rather than a semi-circle. Slivers of black cardstock were used for the antennae instead of wire. The eyes, cheeks, and black spots were made with several sizes of circle punches. A little penwork detail was accomplished with Stampin' Up!s White Chalk Marker. This was a fun card to make.
That's it for now. Thank you for stopping in today!

See Ya Later, Alligator
Hi there! Hope you're having a good week. We're having a bit of a warming trend here. Tomorrow it's supposed to get up to 60! Woo Hoo! OK, enough about the weather. This card cracks me up - just something about those 'gators. I was inspired by Amanda Burditt's card to use the alligator image from Zoo Babies (click here and scroll down to Jan 6 to see her card) paired with the alligator from See Ya Later, a Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration freebie. The Decorative Dots embossing folder (another freebie) was a natural choice, in my opinion, for some added texture. Kind of reminds me of alligator skin. Ha!
You have until March 31st to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration. If you need a Demonstrator, I'd be happy to help you! Shoot me an email or call. You can also place an on-line order here. Thanks in advance!

Just Sayin'.....Play Ball
Hi there! Here's an easy card for those baseball fans in your life. I made this card for our nephew's birthday who is a huge Cardinal fan. The "baseball" was cut out from a circle Framelit. Anything round can be used as a guide to make curved pencil lines on each side of the "baseball". I used a circle Framelit since it was handy. Stitch marks were then added with a Real Red marker and the pencil lines were erased. The Real Red background panel which was embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder, added some additional texture and interest. A sentiment from the new Just Sayin' set was stamped and cut out with the coordinating Word Bubbles Framelits. Both items can be found in the Stampin' Up! 2014 Occasions Catalog and can be purchased as a bundle. That saves you some money! This bundle has become one of my favorite items from the Occasions Catalog!
Need to scoot to work on final preparations for our Card Buffet scheduled Sunday. Thanks for visiting today!

Geometrical Life in the Forest
Hi there! Stopping in for a quick post to show you some new products from the Stampin' Up! 2014 Occasions Catalog. Love this fox from the Life in the Forest set! He was colored in with an Early Espresso marker . The tree image from the same set was used to make the subtle background panel. What a fun sentiment, huh? It is from Geometrical. This versatile set can be used for many types of celebrations or to congratulate someone on some good news or an accomplishment. Would you believe that button is made from clay? Yep, I used our Simply Pressed Clay and button mold (both found on page 167 of the Annual Catalog), then colored it with a Garden Green marker. Color can also be added to the white clay (it only comes in white) by adding a drop or two of reinker. Knead the clay to evenly distribute the ink. Be sure to
wear gloves - unless you want your fingers to match! A Linen Thread bow was added to the "button" for some additional interest.
OK must head out to run some errands. When I return, it's decision time on what projects to take for an extended weekend with my stamping peeps! Thank you so much for stopping by today!
