No Bull - Sitting Pretty

Hey there!  Here it is another Monday.  Where does the time go?  Had a fun time at the crop this past weekend.  Did some prepping for upcoming classes.  But enough of that.
Let's talk about the above card made with the Stampin' Up! set, Sitting Pretty, and coordinating Pretty Park Framelits.  This is a cute set.  The main reason I bought it, though, was because of the bulldog.  My daughter has a bulldog named, Rocky.  He's so ugly, he's cute.... plus he has a cute personality!  This set can be purchased with the Framelits as a bundle at a 10% savings.  See photo by clicking on link below:  https://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/product/148337/sitting-pretty-photopolymer-bundle.  The Framelits contain a plain bench, which doesn't have a coordinating stamp.  It looks really cool cut out.  Well, need to do a little more prepping.

That's all for today.  Thank you for checking in today!

Hand Delivered Graduation

Hello there and happy Friday!   A quick post today before I finish packing for a crop tonight.
The above card is one mailed to my oldest daughter's significant other's daughter, who graduated from high school a few days ago. The books were colored with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut, then adhered over the image on the card front.  The stamp is a hostess set from the 2018-19 Stampin' Up! catalog, called Hand Delivered.  Normally, I don't buy hostess sets but couldn't resist this one!  Below is an image of the set.

I can see this set getting a lot of use with all the different sentiments.  OK, it's time to tackle the "to do" list.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Up & Away - A Different Way

Inspiration found on Pinterest

Good morning!  Hope you had a good weekend.  Mine was busy with having the granddaughter here and celebrating her birthday yesterday.  Now it's time to buckle down and finish some projects that have been shoved aside.  But first, the above card was one that was previously showcased on my Card Buffet.  The Sweet Sugarplum In Color cardstock and Designer Series Paper (DSP) retired May 31, 2018.  However, the Up & Away Thinlits are still available in the 2018-19 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  The large, intricate design was layered over the solid Sweet Sugarplum cardstock piece that was fussy cut.  Dimensionals were used to attach to the card base.  The smaller black "bulb" piece was cut out with a Thinlit.  Black Baker's Twine connects the two pieces.  A strip of  Sweet Sugarplum cardstock replicates the dressing table top, while the "ruffled" DSP is the skirt.  The ruffles were made using the Ruffled 3D Dynamic embossing folder.  Unfortunately, you can't see the ruffles in the picture.

It's time to dive into those projects.  Have a great day and thank you for stopping in for a look!

Nature's Poem

Hi there.  Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since my last post!  Life just got busy with classes, grand kids, and some traveling.  The new Stampin' Up! catalog launched June 1st.  Love it!  Today's card is one featured on my Card Buffet and uses new products.  The card layout was inspired by Mary Fish's card posted June 1st (seen here).  The color palette, Designer Series Paper (DSP), and embellishments are different making it my own.

Hope you have a great day.  Thank you for stopping in!

Helping Me Grow

Hi there!  It's been quite some time since I've posted any photos of cards from my Card Buffets.  Above is a card that showcases the Helping Me Grow and Timeless Textures stamp sets by Stampin' Up!  The Soft Sky panel was stamped with the flourish image from Timeless Textures using Soft Sky ink.  Black ink was used to stamp the flowers onto the White oval.  A Wisteria marker was used to color the flowers in random brushstrokes.  (Ink was transferred to the lid of the Elegant Eggplant ink pad by pushing on the closed lid, then applied by brushstrokes with the Aqua Painter.)  A Garden Green marker was used for the stems.  Soft Sky ink was applied with the Aqua Painter around the flowers for some added color.  A Soft Sky bow and butterfly (stamped with a different image from the Timeless Texture set for some added dimension) was added to the oval focal piece for a finishing touch.

That's it for today.  Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit!
