Kind Koala

Hi there!  Hope your week is going well.  The card I'm sharing today was a popular Card Buffet selection.  This little koala image by Stampin' Up! is just so CA-ute!  How could you NOT love it?  The colors of Baked Brown Sugar and Blushing Bride look so good together, too.  Inspiration for my card came from the very talented Chat Wszelaki as seen HERE (posted July 23rd).  To make the card my own, different colors and supplies were used.

That's it!  Thank you for visiting!  Your visits are always a welcomed pleasure!

Watercolor Happy

Hi there and happy Friday!  Quick post so I can finish a few things around here before heading out early to our Demonstrator holiday party that Sally Nusbaum has organized for this evening!  Woo Hoo!
So, here is another card using a portion of the watercolor background made with the Decorative Dots embossing folder.  You can see how that was done HERE.  The sentiment from the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set by Stampin' Up! is layered onto Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie mats cut out with the Deco Label Framelits.  A Pumpkin Pie sawtooth border strip was made using the Finishing Touches Edgelit.  The Rich Razzelberry card base contrasts nicely with all the colors (and a color that has been neglected lately).  A bit of Pool Party 1/4" Cotton Ribbon finishes off the card.  This ribbon is really nice to work with, too!

Must get going.  Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping in today!

New Home

Hi there and happy Friday!  Hope you had a great week!  Mine sure ended up being a lot busier than planned, which is the reason I didn't get to blog for the last couple of days!  So without further ado, I'll get to the card for today.
One of my customers requested a card for a new home.  So this is what I came up with.  The house is made from a square of the new 2013-15 In Color Baked Brown Sugar Designer Series Paper Stack and coordinating cardstock roof .  Love the new In Colors!  The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials set.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Sweet Essentials, One in a Million (Wishing you a lifetime of happiness - inside sentiment)
Paper: DSP Stack-Baked Brown Sugar, Baked Brown Sugar, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, White
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party

Must run now - taking a little day trip to pick up our son about 1-1/2 hrs away.  Saturday is our Card Buffet at DeLeo's in Florissant.  So it's still busy!  Hope you have a great weekend!  I appreciate you stopping by for a visit!

Are You Lion!

Hi there!  Hope you had a great weekend.  I had a busy one with the Card Buffet on Saturday and a team meeting on Sunday to plan our Christmas Card Workshop that is scheduled for October 26th.  Thanks to all the ladies who attended the Buffet.  What a fun group!
Today's card is from our May-June Card Buffet.  I was inspired by Jackie Topa's lion card here.  I chose to put my lion on a card base, rather than making it a shaped card.  Love Jackie's creative talent.  She is the queen of punch art!

Oh, Whale!

Hi there and happy Monday to you!  Hope all you moms had a wonderful Mother's Day.  I had a quiet day relaxing after a hectic week.  Saturday we had a wonderful turnout for our Card Buffet.  Thank you ladies so much for a fun day and for your support!  Funny story - I mentioned to some friends sitting at one of the tables that my youngest daughter and fiance were visiting her sister in FL to check out the beaches for their wedding.  Then one of the gals at the next table (who I met about a month ago) asked my oldest daughter's name.  She told me they went to high school together and just recently connected on Facebook!  That is so funny considering we moved from that school district over 25 years ago.  Small world, huh?
Well back to the above card, which was on our Buffet last month.  I just love this Oh, Whale! set.  (It will only be available for a couple more weeks.  Get it while you can.)  The set contains several different sentiments.  I chose the "get whale soon" for the inside of the card.

It's another busy week of running.  Today I'll be picking up my daughter and her fiance from the airport.  Then we're going out for a belated Mother's Day brunch.  Hope you have a great week.  Thank you for visiting today!

Pillow Top Technique Stamp Camp Card

Hi there and Happy Thanksgiving eve!  Today's card was made using the Pillow Top technique, which looks difficult to achieve but it is very easy.  The girls really liked doing this technique.  My friend and fellow Demonstrator, Jayne Singleton, used this technique that she found on Pinterest (what did we ever do before Pinterest? lol) at her Camp.  I had to try it, too, with a few minor changes.

Stamps: Summer Silhouettes (W-126445, C-126447), Petite Pairs (W-122495, C-122497)
Paper: Perfect Plum, Vanilla, Old Olive
Ink: Perfect Plum, Old Olive
Tools:  Finishing Touches Edgelits (127010), Stripes embossing folder (123128), circle punches = 1-1/4” & 1-3/8”, ruler
Other:  Pillow Top Template, ribbon, Dotto, sponges, Dimensionals, acrylic blocks
Inspiration: Pinterest - Gail S on www.splitcoaststampers.com and Jayne Singleton

That's it for now.  Thanks for peeking in today!

French Watercolor

Hi there!  It's a wet and gray day here and I'm on my way out the door.  No worries!   It will be a bright and cheery day with the ladies attending Stamp Camp!  So, on to the card for today.  It's another birthday card made with Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wonder Crayons.  Told you there were a lot of birthdays this month!  lol  I rubbed different crayon colors on the stamp, spritzed it with water, then applied to the card stock. The water spot image from the set was inked up with ink to tone down the White.

Stamps: French Foliage, Petite Pairs
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, Perfect Plum, White
Ink: Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard
Other: Oval punches, Edgelits,  Watercolor Wonder Crayons

Must get going now.  Thank you for stopping by today and have a great weekend!
