Wishing You a Doggone Happy New Year!

Hi there and Happy New Year!  Hope you had a good time ringing in the New Year...nothing too crazy, though.  My granddog, Rocky, was freaking out with the fireworks.  Whenever he heard them, he'd stand by the front door and bark.  Such a good dog protecting me!  Speaking of dog, I have a dog card for you today.  (How about that segue?)  A similar card was given to me by a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and friend, Diane Mikles.  The Top Note die was used as a backdrop, which was layered onto a background stamped with the bone image from Hot Diggity Dog.  His head and ears were made using the Decorative Label punch.  A combination of circle and heart punches were used for his face.  The final touch was a sentiment from the Lovely Amazing You set.

Poodle Pup

Hi there and happy Wednesday!  Working on cards for birthdays and other upcoming events.  Found this cute punch art poodle on Mary Rindal's site here.  I thought this would be a perfect card for my aunt who has a poodle.

Scallop Oval = top of head
Small Oval (retired) x 2 = ears
standard hole punch x 3 = eyes & nose
3/4" Circle = collar
1" Circle = collar (punch around the 3/4" negative space to get collar)
Scallop Circle x 2 = body
Modern Label, trim out middle = legs/feet
Word Window = tail
Trio Flowers (retired) = hair on legs & tail
Full Heart Punch = head/face

The square brad came from my stash.  I snipped off the legs and secured to the collar with a glue dot.  The Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper is from the Brights Stack, which is now retired.  (A new Stack with new patterns became available May 31st)
