Morning Meadow

Hi there!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.  I sure did!  Loved being with family and the food....oh my!  Yum, yum!  I'm still full.
Just gonna jump right in and tell you about the above card.  I saw this on Sandi MacIver's blog (here) and fell in love with the bright colors.  The images are from the Hostess set Morning Meadow.  Sandi used the swirl image on her card.  It was omitted from my Card Buffet sample.  I also changed the placement of the birthday greeting.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Morning Meadow
Paper: Strawberry Slush, White, Black
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Black StazOn, Strawberry Slush, Versamark, Black marker
Other:  Sponges, clear blocks

That's it for now.  Hope you have a great weekend and safe travels!  Thank you for stopping by!

Vintage Foliage

Hi there!  We finally have cooler temps today.  Maybe it will start feeling like Fall.  But Mother Nature has tricked us before!

Today's card is one that I made a long time ago. There are so many occasions requiring cards this month that I raided my stash and pulled this one to mail out yesterday.  It was CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from Sandi MacIver.  Love her work!   You can view Sandi's card and tutorial here, including measurements.  She used Mocha Morning Specialty DSP but I didn't have any.  Sooo, I improvised by stamping some doilies (Delicate Doilies set) onto black cardstock and embossed them with clear embossing powder.  This card was a labor of love but the results were stunning and will be appreciated by the recipient.

OK, I have a busy day ahead with a doctor appointment (routine checkup) then our Card Buffet in O'Fallon this evening.  Thank you for stopping in for a visit today!

Oh, Whale!

Hi there and happy Monday to you!  Hope all you moms had a wonderful Mother's Day.  I had a quiet day relaxing after a hectic week.  Saturday we had a wonderful turnout for our Card Buffet.  Thank you ladies so much for a fun day and for your support!  Funny story - I mentioned to some friends sitting at one of the tables that my youngest daughter and fiance were visiting her sister in FL to check out the beaches for their wedding.  Then one of the gals at the next table (who I met about a month ago) asked my oldest daughter's name.  She told me they went to high school together and just recently connected on Facebook!  That is so funny considering we moved from that school district over 25 years ago.  Small world, huh?
Well back to the above card, which was on our Buffet last month.  I just love this Oh, Whale! set.  (It will only be available for a couple more weeks.  Get it while you can.)  The set contains several different sentiments.  I chose the "get whale soon" for the inside of the card.

Just Believe Mixed Bunch

Hi there.  Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend.  Back to the working world - at least for some.
Been really behind on posting cards.  Here is one CASE'd from Sandi MacIver.  She is so talented.  Click here to see the card and a video!

My card is very similar to hers except for some of the DSP Sandi used for the background and the flowers.

Sorry for the brief post today - working on some projects.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping in!
