Sunflower

Hi there!  Stopping in real quick to post another card!  So without further adieu,  here it is:

I have had this stamp for quite some time now, but never had a chance to use it until Wednesday.  First I inked up the stamp with a Real Red ink pad, then sponged on Pumpkin Pie. The Pumpkin Pie muted the Real Red so that it works with the Cajun Craze mat.  It was an easy card, which is always good.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamps: Sunflower, Tiny Tags
Ink: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze (for tag)
Other: Medium Jewelry Tag punch, linen thread
Card stock:
Peach Parfait card base = 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Cajun Craze = 3-3/4" x 5"
Very Vanilla focal piece = 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"

Thanks for checking in today!  Have a great day.

Blast From the Past - Vintage Vogue

Hi there!  Thought I'd post a card from the past (to hold you over for a bit).  This card was made from the Vintage Vogue stamp set and the Very Vintage jumbo wheel.  The ruffled embellishment was made from the Medallion stamp, cut out, and pleated to give the illusion of a ruffle.
.

Hope you have a great weekend - or what's left of it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Everyday Enchantment - Last Stamp Camp Card

Hi there!  Here is the last Stamp Camp card from this past Saturday.  The dress was cut from a portion of the DSP that had been embossed with the Manhattan Flower embossing folder.  Yes, there is a dress shape in there!  Somewhere (don't remember where) I saw a wedding card using this technique. Sorry I can't give you proper credit.  It amazes me how people come up with these wonderful ideas.  So glad they do!  The edging around the circle was made from a border punch.  You have to cut notches along the strip so you can ease it around the circle - like in sewing.

Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes (w-122615, c-122617 Hostess set)
Paper: Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP (126154 – 2012 SAB)
Ink: Calypso Coral
Tools: Manhattan Flower embossing folder (114517), Pinking Hearts border punch (117649), 3” circle punch (non-SU!), retired Star punch (to make notches on border strip), snips, Crop-A-Dile
Other: Calypso Coral 3/8” ruffled ribbon (122976), Everyday Enchantment 1/8” Calypso Coral Organdy ribbon (126060 – 2012 SAB), Everyday Enchantment Brads (126126), Dimensionals, acrylic blocks

Finally - A Post! January Stamp Camp

Hi there!  Yes, it's me.  Hard to believe, huh?  I have a new computer and cannot believe how much faster it is!  Soooo much time was eaten up just waiting for the old one to change screens.  I'm loving this speed!!!  Anyway, I have a card from Saturday's Stamp Camp.

The border was made with the new Adorning Accents Edgelits Die.  Love these new dies!  They coordinate so well with the vintage feel don't you think?  Tip: Use a little Dotto to keep your card stock in place and some painters tape on the ends of the die to prevent shifting.  Makes a world of difference. There are also embossing folders and a stamp set that coordinate with the dies.  Way cool!  Guess who forgot to order the embossing folders?  Duh!  They'll be the first item on my next order.

Stamps: Hello Doily (122845), Tea Shoppe (w-125545, c-125547 Occasions Mini 2012)
Paper: Island Indigo, White
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo
Tools: Adorning Accents Edgelits Die (125595 – Occasions Mini 2012), Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (119275)
Other:  Pearls, acrylic blocks

Had an awesome group of ladies, including a group of newbies, attend Stamp Camp this past Saturday!  (Thank you all for coming!)  The new location at the The Corner Coffee House worked out really well, too.  The lighting was so much better!

Must run - getting ready for our Girls Getaway retreat beginning Wednesday.  I'll be scheduling future posts so you can see the rest of the Camp cards.  After Wednesday, I'll be kicked back sipping on a margarita ... or two. lol   We have some major celebrating to do!

Hope you're having a great day.  As always, thank you so much for peeking in on me today!

January Stamp Camp Sneak Peek

Hi there!  Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.  The weather in St Louis this past week was mild for Jan - like in the 70's!  We even set a record for the temps on Thur.  It was strange to see so many people in shorts.  I almost thought I was in Florida!  lol

Today I have a sneak peek of the projects that will be made at my Stamp Camp on Saturday (14th).  Ready?

Some of the gals try to figure out the card designs.  We'll see how they do with this sneak peek.  lol

Finally upgraded my phone over the weekend.  I've been waaaay overdue but the phone I had gave me no problems.  Then a little piece broke off the hinge area and the challenge began - especially when in use.  I had to hold it in my hand and not with my shoulder and head (so I could multi-task).  Anyway, I replaced it with a Smartphone!  There are so many things you can do with these phones.  Oh my!  Love playing Angry Birds!  I'm addicted to that game - working on my 18th level.  It's a tough one.  It will be a fun thing to do while waiting wherever.

Today I received a package from Stampin' Up!  It was my "Million Dollar Prize" from Penny Thomas (my upline's upline) for being in the top three in sales for the month of November!  Woo Hoo!  She told me that I should be proud of this accomplishment because there are 80 others!  I am proud... but without YOU, my customers, it would not be possible.  So a BIG, heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to each and every one of YOU for helping me earn this prize!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  And a big thanks to Penny, too, for rewarding us with fabulous prizes.  Oh, the prize is a tin of Watercolor Wonder Crayons - Subtles Collection.  I have been wanting some of these but never got around to ordering them.  Can't wait to play with my new crayons!  Who knows?  There just might be a project made with them at the next Stamp Camp.

That's it for now.  I'm in "cutting card stock" mode for Saturday.  Thanks for dropping by today!

Occasions Mini is Here!!

Hi there!  Yesterday was the start date of the new Occasions Mini.  Check it out for some awesome, new products!!  The Framelits and Edgelits Dies and really neat.  The Adorning Accents Dies have coordinating embossing folders!   Click here to download the Occasions Mini and shop my on-line store.  If you don't have a Demonstrator and would like to purchase Stampin' Up! products, please contact me at the information on the right side bar.  Thanks!

Well, yesterday I was able to get back into my routine of stamping with the Wednesday Girls.  Below is a project we made.  Marla, who is so creative, designed this cute card.  I have been meaning to make one of these hobby horses that I've seen on different blogs.  I was so excited that she brought it to the table for us to make.  Thanks, Marla!  The hobby horse was made using the Stocking Builder punch, which unfortunately is no longer available.

My card base is Early Espresso with Well Worn DSP as the background layer. The diagonal piece is Very Vanilla and Island Indigo. The horse's head was punched from Crumb Cake with an Early Espresso muzzle.  Snip the pom poms off some trim and you have a bridle!  Now how clever is that?  A brad resembles the hardware.  Twine was looped on sticky strip then snipped and separated to make his mane.  The ears are from the bird punch.  His eye is a gem.  The stick is a choclate coated peppermint stick (yum) adhered between two "head" pieces.

Time for me to pick up the granddaughter.  Have a great day and thank you for coming by today!!

Tonight is our monthly Pieces of Heart Demo dinner and challenge.  Our challenge this month is a Valentine card or 3-D item.  Looking forward to visit with everyone!  We have such a good time.
