Fresh Vintage in Black & White

Hi there!  Hope you had a good weekend.  I had a great extended weekend with my peeps at our quarterly Girls Getaway retreat!  Now it's back to reality.  Spent the day taking care of some business matters, catching up on emails & phone calls, unpacking & putting away everything (well..almost), and laundry.
How about that Retirement List?  I filled a box of stamps that will retire May 31st.  Ugh!  But I'm excited to see what will come out in the new catalog!
Well, better get on with the card so I can go to bed!  I really love the Fresh Vintage set and enjoy creating cards with it even though it's now retired.  Hope they carry it over to the new catalog.  This card is so simple...yet elegant.
Inspired by Renee Ondrajka
The solid black strip is 1/2" x 5-1/2" and embossed with the Houndstooth embossing folder.  The postage stamp image was punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch and mounted on a 1-3/8" square.  The sentiment is from another retired Sale-A-Bration set, Elementary Elegance.  Now wasn't that easy?

Must sign off now.  Thank you for stopping by!

Creative Elements

Hi there and happy hump day!  Where has the time gone?  Gonna be quick so I can get to bed!
Here is a card made last Wed with my stamping peeps.  We CASEd someone's card but I don't recall the name.  Sorry!  I'll try to find out tomorrow (well later today, actually) and let you know.  I did make a slight change by using a different sentiment and omitting the ribbon (strictly by accident - but it worked out OK).
Edited to add: The card was CASEd from Wendy Wexler's blog.  You can view her card here - scroll to Mar 26 post..

Stamp: Creative Elements, Elementary Elegance
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hello Easter Blossoms

Hi there!  Thought I'd take a break from tax stuff and post a photo of the card that I mailed to a friend who is in the hospital.  This is one of the cards made with the Wednesday girls.  It's a CASE of Chat's card click here to see her card - scroll down to Mar 17th post.  We changed a couple of things.  I used a different sentiment than everyone else because I knew it was going to my sick friend.

Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Easter Blossoms (retired), Elementary Elegance (SAB)
Paper:  White, Baja Breeze, Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz
Ink: Baja Breeze, Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz
Other: Beautiful Wings embosslit, Baja Breeze seam binding, brad from SAB Everyday Enchantment brad & ribbon pack, Simply Scored

OK, back to the paper chase. lol  Thank you for coming by today - so glad you didn't give up on me!

More March Stamp Camp Cards

Hi there and happy Monday to you!  Here are a couple more cards that were made at Stamp Camp this past Saturday.

Isn't this little chick just too cute!  Thanks to Corie Foster for the inspiration.  I think this was everyone's favorite card.  Now that I see this photo, Pumpkin Pie ink might be a better choice for inking the edges and her cheeks.  She looks a little pale. lol

Did you know that the Lattice die can be made into a cross with just a few snips?  Way cool!  There are some very creative people out there.  This card could be used for Easter, Confirmation, Baptism, or even a wedding with a little tweaking to the color palette and sentiment.
