Hi there! Today's card is one that was sent to my friend in the hospital to let her know she's in my thoughts. The Elements of Style flower image was stamped on watercolor paper with black StazOn ink. Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, and Old Olive ink was applied to the image with a blender pen. The embellishment was made from the Decorative Label punch, oval punches, plus a sentiment from the Layered Labels set. A 1/8" hole punch was used on the scallop oval piece along with a scrap of crochet trim tucked behind the Decorative Label to dress it up a bit.
Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted

Elements of Style
Hi there....it's me again! Just wanted to share a pretty card received from my sweet friend, Mary. She used the Elements of Style stamp set and I'm pretty sure Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz were the ink colors. Life IS a matter of moments - some good and some not so good. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts, girlfriend, 'cause some days are not so good and knowing you care helps!
That's it for now. Thanks for stopping in!

Who Can Resist Elements of Style?
Hi there! Sorry but this is a super quick post! Just wanted to show you another card made over the holiday weekend using the resist technique. Saw this card on Pinterest....yeah, I'm hooked! Anyway, I'll have to look up who did it when there is more time. Stamp the image on a White 3 x 4-3/4 panel using Versamark, then heat emboss with Black embossing powder. Make tic marks with a pencil to section off four equal portions. Use the brush tip of your Stampin' Write markers (Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, and Marina Mist) to add color. Adhere the panel to a White card base then wrap it with Early Espresso Bakers Twine. Stamp your sentiment, then add the butterflies. It was a pretty easy card, actually. The next one will be even faster!
Edited to add: The name of person who I CASE'd is Darlene find her card here.

Monogrammed Note Cards
Happy hump day! You know what that means....it's stamping with the Wednesday girls! I'll show you a note card from the set I made for my sister-in-law. She really appreciated getting them. Black and white is always so elegant looking, at least in my book.
Texture was added to the white background with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I stamped the border strip with the flourish image from Elements of Style stamp set and matted it on the black strip. The monogram is a non-SU! set that I've had for years. It is punched out, matted on the black scallop circle, and popped up with dimensionals. An easy card with a lot of impact.
Hope you have an awesome day and thanks for coming by!

How about another Stamp Camp card? The ladies liked this card but it was a bit challenging to get the fold just right. No hill for a stepper! They did great. Thanks to Valita for her video showing this interesting technique on her blog!

A Taxing Day .....
Hi there and happy Friday! Hope you have your taxes completed by now - or at least by Mon - the extended deadline. (What's up with that anyway?) It's always good to get tax season behind ya, huh? Before you know it, it'll be Christmas again. Time just flies by at what seems like break neck speed!
OK, enough about taxes and Christmas. Let's move on to the card for today. It's a wedding card that was CASE'd from Pam D'Urso (my friend and awesome upline). Check out her card here (Mar 29th post). Pam was inspired by Jan Tink. I didn't have any of the specialty paper they used so I made my own. Oh, so clever! The swirl stamp from the "Elements of Style" set was used in a random pattern on Whisper White cardstock using Versamark ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The bells are made from the Round Tab and Wide Oval punches. (You can also use a circle punch to round off the tops of the bells.) The Swirls Scribbles Sizzlet die was used for the curly clappers. Some Organza and Pearls dress it up very nicely.
Recipe (Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Elements of Style, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: White, Basic Gray
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Tools: Round Tab punch, Wide Oval punch, Word Window punch,
Modern Label punch, Swirls Scribbles Sizzlet die
Other: Clear embossing powder, White 5/8" Organza ribbon, Basic Pearls, dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Springtime Vintage and Elements of Style Samples
Hi there. Popping in real quick to show you another card (sample #3). The layout for this card was inspired by Saturday Sketch Challenge (SSC194) on Stamping 411. Go to the March 11 post here if you'd like to see the sketch. I cut the Not Quite Navy Curly Label in half, then adhered them to the ends of the sentiment to give the illusion of a mat.
Recipe
Stamps: Easter Blossoms
Paper: Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Springtime Vintage DSP, vellum
Ink: Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy ink pad & marker, Baja Breeze
Tools: Curly Label punch, distressing tool, Beautiful Wings Embosslit die
Other: Victoria 5/8" crochet trim, Basic Pearls
Sample #4 was inspired by Andrea Walford's post on Mar 7 (click here). I just changed a couple of things - otherwise it's the same as her card.
Recipe
Stamps: Elements of Style, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Thoughts and Prayers (inside sentiment)
Paper: Early Espresso, Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Deck the Halls DSP (retired)
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Tools: Large oval punch, Scallop oval punch, mat pack
Other: Rose Red 1" double stitched grosgrain ribbon (Clearance Rack item-retired)
Thanks for stopping by. Now it's time for me to go to bed.
