Eyes in the Woods

Hi there!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was busy and fun!  Friday afternoon was spent with my granddaughter since she only had a half day of school.  We had lunch, then did some crafting.  She helped with a project that can't be revealed just yet.  She was a great help!  Saturday was spent with my stamping peeps, Jayne Singleton, Kim Coulter, and Sally Nusbaum.  Jayne, Kim, and I were assisting in a "covert" operation for Sally's Croptober at the Lake of the Ozarks next month.  Can't wait!  Sunday a great group of gals attended my Card Buffet.  Thank you so much, ladies!

How about we get to the project above?  It is another 3x3 note card - for September customer orders.  The new Woodland embossing folder by Stampin' Up! was used.  Black ink was applied to the flat side of the embossing folder (the side with the Sizzix logo) before running it through the Big Shot.  I love this technique, which varies the look each time.  The spooky eyes were added using a retired set (sorry!) called Freaky Friends.  Easy peasy..... and fun!

Remember - new Weekly Deals today!  This is your chance to get the Envelope Punch Board and/or the Gift Box Punch Board at a reduced amount.  Both are on sale this week (Sep 29 - Oct 5)!  Check them out by clicking HERE or the picture in the right side bar.

That's all for today.  Hope you have a great day and thank you for stopping by for a look!

Lotus Blossom

Hi there!  Well I'm back today with a beautiful stamp set called, Lotus Blossom.  This set can be yours for FREE with a $50 Stampin' Up! purchase (before s/h and tax) during Sale-a-Bration.  This little 3x3 note card was received by each customer who placed an order with me in December.  (Forgot to post it back then)  The stamping process is opposite of what we are used to doing.  The darkest color is stamped first (Rose Red was used here).  The next layer is Strawberry Slush, with Pink Pirouette as the final layer.  This is a photopolymer set so it really sticks to the clear block!  There are tabs on the flower images to aide in the positioning of each layer.  (It helps that the stamps are clear, too!)  Just make sure the tabs point in the same direction and you'll have no problem stamping a perfect image.
Some retired Modern Medley Designer Series Paper was used for the background of the note card and for the envelope (shown below).  The Envelope Punch Board was used to make the envelope.  Boy, and to think I almost didn't get one of those!  I use it all of the time.

By the way, Stampin' Up is releasing four new Sale-a-Bration freebie products on March 1st.

Stay warm and have a great weekend.  Thank you for visiting today!

Thank You Snowman

Hi there!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Mine was a busy one with an all day crop on Saturday and having our son & granddaughter come in late that night to spend the night.  Sunday we took a little trip down memory lane in Rock Hill (MO), which is where we lived prior to moving to our current home.  We drove by our old house, then went to the Hacienda Mexican Restaurant (our favorite place) for an early dinner.  Afterwards, we went to the Winter Wonderland light display at Tilles Park.  (We spent many hours at this park when we lived nearby.)  What FUN it was to see all those lighted displays!  There were so many that it was a challenge to see all of them.  The granddaughter was sooooo excited pointing out the different characters!  She would bounce from one side of the car to the other.
Keeping with a festive theme, the above 3x3 card was included in each customer order bag during the month of November.  (Forgot to post it earlier!)  All is Calm Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!  was used for the snowman's body.  A snowflake background was stamped with the Endless Wishes set using Pear Pizzazz and Lost Lagoon inks.  A matching snowflake envelope was made (from plain ol' copy paper) with the Envelope Punch Board.  Love making matching envelopes and it is so easy with the Envelope Punch Board!

That's it - thank you so much for stopping by today!

Gift Card Present

Hi there!  Yesterday was a busy day - just didn't get around to posting.  Wednesday night was the Stampin' Up! Catalog Kickoff.  What a great time meeting up with friends and making new ones!  Such a fun evening!  The new Occasions Catalog is full of awesome products - my wish list is ready!  We can pre-order beginning today, which is just one of the benefits of being a Demonstrator!  Woo hoo!

Now about the card above, which is a gift card holder.  It's not just for Christmas.  Change the DSP to fit the occasion.  Below is an open view, with a peek at the gift card insert.   It was made with the Envelope Punch Board.  I used the retired Slot Punch to keep the gift card in place.

The Hostess Club members made this card at our meeting last month.  Watch France Martin's video HERE for directions to make a batch of gift card holders to have on hand for the holidays - or any day.
Must go place my pre-order now!  Have a great weekend and thanks for coming by for a visit today!

Flashback Smiles

Hi there and happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week.  Life has been a little calmer this week.  Good thing because the granddog loves attention - when he isn't sleeping.  lol  Looking forward to our Hostess Club meeting tomorrow - just need to load my tote into the car.  Afterwards, hubby and I will be going to my sister-in-law's annual bonfire/birthday party.  But for now, how about another card from our Card Buffet display board?  This camera shaped card was inspired by Debbie Henderson's card seen here and by Valerie Moody's card here - posted Nov 27th.  Thank you ladies for such wonderful inspiration!

Must sign off now to run errands and then get into the kitchen to make a treat for the party tomorrow.  Have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping in today!

Fabulous!

Hi there and happy Friday!  It's been a busy day taking care of household chores, getting the car serviced, and playing with my new Stampin' Up! Blendabilities that came today.  Love them!  I'll have some pictures to post later in the week.  But for now, I have another Card Buffet sample that was CASE'd from Connie Babbert's nail polish punch art card that can be seen here.  The ladies loved it!  It can be used to acknowledge a friend or family member's special day, or to thank your nail technician, or even a cool presentation for a spa gift certificate.  There are so many options!  I actually used it to thank my oldest daughter for my birthday gift, a mani-pedi when we were in Florida.

That's it for now.  Hope all the mom's out there have a wonderful Mother's Day!  Thank you for stopping in today!

Firetruck Punch Art

Hi there and happy hump day!  A quick post today featuring this punch art firetruck, which was a customer request for our Card Buffet.  I found a firetruck done by Christine Gaydos on our Demonstrator only web site as my inspiration.  Sorry I can't share that with you and she doesn't have a blog.  (Become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, then you'll have access!)  The inside of the card was "stampers choice".   I made a template for the ladies to use to outline the door with a black marker.  A piece of vellum punched from the Hexagon punch, then cut in half made the "windshield".  Trim the other half to make the door "window".  A white chalk pen was used to add lines to the vellum "windows".  A little tip - when punching out vellum or DSP, use a piece of scrap cardstock underneath the vellum.  The cardstock will keep the vellum from getting stuck in the punch.

Must get going.  Thanks for stopping by for a visit today!  You're visits are always welcome!

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.

Paper: White, Real Red, So Saffron, Metallic Silver (non-SU), Vellum, Black, Gray
Ink: Black marker, White chalk marker

November "Best of" Stamp Set & Oct 3x3

Hi there and happy Friday and a new month!  Can't believe we're in November already!  A new month also means a new "Best of..." stamp set.  This month is Best of Snow (above).  You can view all of the sets by clicking here.  Please contact me if you'd like to order this set or any other products.  You may also order directly from my online store here.  Thanks in advance!

This little 3x3 note was slipped into my customers order bags during the month of October.  It's a small way for me to thank them for their support.  The pumpkin was made by punching out 3 circles, folding them in half and adhering together.  I used our new Envelope Punch Board to make a coordinating envelope.  The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen.

That's it for now.  Hope you have a great weekend and thank you for visiting today!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!  I'm jumping right in with a card perfect for today.  Isn't this cute?  I made it at a Holiday Card Buffet earlier this month hosted by Sally Nusbaum, Kim Coulter, and Cheryl Renth.  They are some talented ladies and good friends.  The Circle Thinlits was used for the big eyeball.  Below is the open card.

The "hair" was hand cut and additional eyes were made from punches for the inside of the card.  My granddaughter should get a kick out of this card!

Here is another card made at the same event.
The Envelope Punch Board was used to make the "file folder".  Some Washi tape was added on the front edge and to one of the coffee cups, which are from Perfect Blend set.  Those spiders....Cheryl made her own stamp using our Undefined stamp carving kit.  Wasn't she the clever one!  The insert can be used for a gift card, a message, a photo....  So many possibilities for this type of card!

Before signing off, the last Thank You Thursday special is...

If you want to place an order TODAY, please go to my online store here or contact me (information on the right side bar and in the header).  Don't forget about the Weekly Deals seen here.  The Weekly Deal prices are good through Monday, Nov 4th. Thank you!

Have a safe Halloween and thank you for stopping in today!

Hi there!  Wow what a whirlwind it has been this month with two stamping retreats back to back and getting ready for our Christmas Card Workshop, which is this coming Saturday!  Plus Stampin' Up! has come out with some new promotions - one is 25% off 25 stamp sets!  (See more details at the end of this post.)
Let's start with the above card made with the Postage Collection set, which is a Hostess set.  The colors are Night of Navy, Baked Brown Sugar, and Raspberry Ripple.  The postage stamp images were stamped on vanilla cardstock, then punched out with the Postage Stamp punch.  The Chevron embossing folder was used for some added interest.  This card was made at one of Carla Spradling's Card Buffets.  It has been mailed out already, therefore, I'm listing supplies by memory and looking at the photo.
Now for some exciting offers!
Stampin' Up! just released this discounted stamp sale today.  You can purchase these sets at 25% off original price!  Don't delay because this offer ends October 28.

For a limited time (now through Dec 31st) you can purchase cardstock bases, already cut and scored for you!  How awesome is that?  A package of 20 pre-cut and scored card bases for only $4.95!  Colors are listed here at my online store.

Last of the Fall Regional Swaps

Hi there and happy Friday!  I'm away having fun with my stampin' peeps but I've scheduled the last of the swaps received at the Fall Regional that Sally Nusbaum organized for us Demonstrators.  The above file folder card was made by Ornetta Gilliam.  It was made using Stampin' Up!s new Envelope Punch Board.  The photo below shows the little card insert, which can be used for a message.  Too cute!
This card by Sarah Klasing is unique in the way it opens - it flips up.  She used the Wildflower Meadow stamp and coordinating embossing folder on the focal piece.
Peggy Gebhardt made this adorable Angry Bird punch art version of a Christmas card.  Love it!
I'm not real sure how Ruthie Lancaster made this card.  I think she inked up the embossing folder with a brayer before placing her cardstock in it and running through the Big Shot.  I like the results!
This last swap card was made by Sally Nusbaum.  Wasn't she the clever one to use the ornament for the Santa image!  Love it!

That's all for now.  Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping in today!

Fall Regional Swaps

Hi there!  Hope you had a great weekend!  Mine was awesome!  Had a family reunion on Saturday, which was a lot of fun seeing all the cousins - and their kids and now grandkids!  We had a good time despite the rain and drop in temperature.  Sunday was our Card Buffet and that was fun, too.  We have the best friends/customers!  Thank you all for coming and supporting us!
Well, today I'm sharing some of the swaps received at the Fall "Regional" held September 28th (organized by Sally Nusbaum).  The one above is by Denise Wisdom.  I love how she added some ribbon to make a "scarf" for the snowman!  So clever.
Isn't this file folder made by Cheryl Renth the cutest?  It was made with our new Envelope Punch Board.  So glad I bought one - love it!  The snowflakes were cut out with our Festive Flurry Framelits found in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.
Ann Nahm was the designer of this understated beauty!  The Glimmer paper star really adds a nice sparkly finishing touch!
While we're on Christmas trees, this one is by Kathy Morales.  She embossed around the focal image using a Labels Framelit - not sure if you can see that.  It's an elegant looking card with a vintage feel.

That's it for now.  Come back tomorrow for some more swaps.  Must start getting ready for a stamping weekend with other Demonstrators at the Lake of the Ozarks.  This is another fun event organized by Sally Nusbaum.  Woohoo!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Sally's Fall Regional Christmas Projects

Hi there!  Yesterday I promised to post Sally Nusbaum's Christmas make n take projects that we made at her Fall "Regional".  These gold ornaments were cut out with the Stampin' Up! Holiday Ornaments Framelits that were carried over from last year.  The foil sheets can be found in the 2013 Holiday Catalog (page 28).  One of the many things that is so awesome about Sally's events, is that we get to try out products.  I had not used the foil sheets before.  They emboss wonderfully!  The "Merry" sentiment is a new Expression Thinlits die (found on page 36).  These are so cool.  (Tip: They work best when a piece of waxed paper is used between the die and the cardstock.)

Love this next project!
It's a Christmas planner.  How awesome is that!  I've seen them on different blogs but never attempted to make one.  It was made from a file folder and actually easy - especially when everything is already cut!  lol  Sally had a computer generated title, Christmas Planner on the front of her sample planner.  I will do that later - just been a bit busy.

Here is an open view of the planner.  What a great way to stay organized during the holidays!

The red receipts envelope was made with our new Envelope Punch Board.  Keep all those holiday receipts in once place!  If anything needs to be returned, you'll know right where to find the receipt.  And won't the cashier be impressed when you pull out the receipts envelope from this cool planner!  lol

That's it for today.  I have a ton of things to do to get ready for a super busy weekend!  Thank you so much for coming by for a visit today!

Last of the Gently Falling Set

Hi there and happy Friday to you!  Hope your week went well.  We are back into cooler temps today and for the rest of the weekend.  Yeah!

Here is the last card of the gift ensemble that I made from bits and pieces of projects that were left over or didn't make the cut.  This time the whole stamped panel of Gently Falling leaves was used for the background, along with a portion of a woodgrain embossed piece (non-SU!).  A couple of leaves from the Autumn Accents die and sentiment from Chalk Talk were added as an embellishment, as well as the ribbon (retired).

A gift needs to be presented in some sort of packaging, right?  So, I made a box with our new Envelope Punch Board!  Love it, love it, love it!  This box was easy peasy with this awesome new tool from Stampin' Up!  Here is the box, which has an embellished belly band using more of my leftover bits and pieces.

And here is a look at the complete gift ensemble.

Must run to make sure everything is ready for a customer's Workshop tomorrow.  Afterwards, I'll be meeting up with my stamping peeps for an overnighter.  Need to get packed.  Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in today!
