Ornamental Pine Celebration

Hi there and happy Friday!  Today's quick card was intended as a masculine birthday card but could easily be changed to a Christmas card.  This was another sample from our Card Buffet display board.  There's just something about pine trees and pine cones that I love!  So, of course, this set is a favorite from the Stampin' Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog.

Must finish packing for our 2015 Calendar Class on Sunday.  But before signing off, birthday wishes go out to my oldest daughter today!  I love you!  Her birthday this year is extra special since she's celebrating on safari in East Africa!  The company she works for asked if she'd lead the Christmas safari tour and, of course, she accepted.  Being an international tour director is the perfect job for her!  Not that I'm a proud mama or anything.  Lol

Hope you have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping in today!

Ghoulish Googlies Treat Bag

Hi there!  Popping in to show you one of the make n take projects we did at the Holidaze Demo Event on Sep 22nd.  Isn't it adorable?  This little treat bag comes in a kit with the tags, googlie eyes, and bakers twine so you can complete the project.  Stampin' Up! thought of everything.  All you have to do is stamp the tag with the coordinating stamp set sold separately.  Or you can purchase the bundle, which includes the stamp set and the Ghoulish Googlies kit  (Wood-mount 129852 $20.95, Clear-mount 129853 $16.95).  These items can be found on page 27 of the Holiday Catalog.  We ran the bag through the Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder for some added interest.  Who are we kidding?  Those little munchkins are only interested in what's inside - that snack size bag of M&M's!  lol

That's it for now.  Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping in today!

Catalog Christmas Ornament

Hi there!  Hope you've had a wonderful weekend.  Mine improved once I got rid of the migraine!  The weather has been great but I chose to work in the studio today.  (The windows are open and I'm enjoying the fresh air!)  All in all, it's been a pretty productive day.   Thought I'd share my version of the beautiful ornament that graces the cover of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  There are several video tutorials out there if you want to try to make one yourself.  Linda Heller and Angie Kennedy Juda both have videos - here and here.
Instead of using linen thread, I used some silver filament from my stash. (Yep, contraband!)  The 1-1/4" Silver Glimmer circle creates the base for the button, which sits upon a lollie.  A Silver Glimmer flower from the Itty Bitty punch pack and a pearl give the button some additional bling.  The ornament was actually pretty easy to make - once you get all 40 ornaments cut out!  lol  A strip of the large stamped ornaments and a strip of the small ones placed side by side on the platform/cutting plate was run through the Big Shot at one time.  This was a time saver for sure.

OK, need to finish up a few things before hitting the sack.  Tomorrow is a busy day of errands and grocery shopping.  Thanks for stopping in this evening!

Pouch Purse

Hi there and happy Thursday!  Today our son turned 31. Happy Birthday, Son!  We love you!!!  Holy Cow, that means that in six months our youngest will turn 30!  Yikes, where have the years gone???  I always said it was like having twins since their age difference is only 18 months.  Then a mother of twins told me she felt it was easier raising twins because they were used to sharing from day one.  Good point!

Last Thursday after we arrived in Louisville and connected with the rest of our group, Pam D'Urso, our incredible up-line gave all of us an adorable pouch purse!  It was perfect to carry our "essentials" to the
all-day Regional.  Pam is such a sweet, gracious person and always so thoughtful - not to mention generous!

Isn't this just too cute?  You should have heard us squeal with delight when she handed them out!  Pam dressed up the plain purse that she purchased from one of those big box stores.  See what you can do with plain ol' stuff?  The flower was made from the Flower Folds Die using our Spice Cake Fabric and Fabric Adhesive Roll.  The front is adorned with a Soft Suede Designer Button from the Spice Cake collection in the Holiday Mini catalog and a Clear Crystal Bauble dangles from the zipper.  Thanks again, Pam, for always making us feel special!

Remember the awesome FREE BIG SHOT promotion!!!  Plus, you'll receive a FREE stamp set from the 2012 Occasions Mini!  Please contact me at the info on right side bar to get started.  You won't regret it!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Hope you have a great day.

Holiday Mini is Here!

Hi there!  Today the Holiday Mini Catalog goes live!  It is full of great products.  I could order the whole catalog but since I haven't won the lottery or anything, guess I'll have to keep myself in check! lol

This month looks like another busy one.  Busy is good.  I'll be helping Jayne Singleton with Make n Takes at her booth at the "Y" on the 7th.  There were three of us last year and we never had a lull the whole evening.  It was so satisfying to see the expressions on peoples faces when they saw the card they made themselves.  Handmade card...priceless!

Looking forward to the "Happy Holidaze" Demo event being held on Sep 24th.  Sally and the other Demos who put on this event do a fantastic job.  It's always so much fun!!  I'll be busy working on swaps for that.

My next Stamp Camp is the 25th.  I'll post a Sneak Peek at a later date.  If you live in the St Louis Metro area and would like to attend, please contact me to reserve your spot.  Contact information is on the right side bar.

Our monthly Demo dinner is on the 27th.  Hmmm, Jayne gave us a challenge (jumbo paper clip) that I need to think about altering.

There are a lot of birthdays and anniversaries this month, too!

Jayne and I are in the planning phase for a Christmas Card Workshop being held Dec 3 at the Hazelwood Community Ctr.  I'll post the details at a later date.  Save the date!

Sorry, no card today.  Must run some errands and pick up the granddaughter from daycare.  Thank you for stopping by!
