Hi there and happy hump day!  Today's card is similar to one I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) from Jayne Singleton, a friend and fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  A few changes were made to make it my own - basically the layout and sentiment.   The Designer Series Paper (DSP) colors used are Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey, which are 2014-16 In Colors retiring in June.  The Pansy was stamped using Hello Honey ink, then punched out.  The edges were inked with Blackberry Bliss to give the flower more dimension.  A sentiment from the Tap, Tap, Tap set was used on the card front.  Some white organza ribbon adds a finishing touch.

Bordering Blooms Courage

Hi there!  Popping in for a quick post to share a clean and simple card using the Bordering Blooms set from the 2014-15 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  This set contains four different border stamps.  Lots of possibilities here.  The sentiment is from Somethin' to Say, which is perfect for a friend who is going through a really rough time right now.  Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette flowers were added.  The finishing touch is a pearl in the center of each flower.

Honeycomb Watercolor Technique

Hi there and happy Friday!  Hope you've been enjoying the cooler temperatures and have fun plans for the weekend.  My weekend is another busy one.  So without further adieu, let's get to the card.  This watercolor technique began with the Honeycomb embossing folder.  Ink was randomly sponged onto the open embossing folder with a dauber (the side with the Stampin' Up! logo), then lightly spritzed with water.  A piece of watercolor paper was placed into the embossing folder.  The embossing folder was closed and then rubbed with my fingers to transfer/move the ink.  Results will be different each time, depending on the placement of colors and amount of pressure used to rub the embossing folder.  The colors used in this sample are Blushing Bride, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pistachio Pudding.  Various punched pieces were used to embellish the watercolor background, which is layered onto a Crisp Cantaloupe card base.  A leaf cut from Glimmer paper using the Little Leaves Sizzlit die (now retired) finishes off the card with bit of bling.

In the Bag

Hi there!  Sorry for not posting last week.  There just wasn't enough time to schedule posts before leaving town.  Sure did have a great time with my friends at the girls getaway retreat!  There were a LOT of laughs, delicious meals, and wonderful movies.  (Yep we watch movies there, too.)  Such a  fun and relaxing time!  Now it's time to get back to business so here is a little gift bag and tag that I made using Sam Donal's video instructions.  You can view her video here.  She has some great projects!  The River Rock Designer Series Paper and Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon are retired Stampin' Up! products.  Items used on the tag are current, though.  The tag was made with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, then stamped with the flourish image from the Everything Eleanor set.  Flower embellishments were made with the Petite Petal Punch, the flower from the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and some Pearls.  Oh, and everything was sponged to give it a vintage feel.

Happy Birthday, America!

Hi there!  Hope everyone is having a fun and safe 4th of July!  This morning we attended a local parade and then went to the park for some fun entertainment.  What a gorgeous day and pleasant temperatures.  So unlike last year!  In honor of today's celebration is a clean and simple card made with Stampin' Up!s Work of Art stamp set.  The solid blue and red stripes are made with images from the set.  (Who'd a thought, huh?)  The stars are from a new punch in the Itty Bitty Accessory Pack.

A Special Anniversary

Hi there and happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing a card made for a friend's special anniversary.  Stampin' Up! Framelits were used to cut out the hearts.  The large background heart was embossed with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder, then the edges were sponged for a vintage look.  The sentiment is stamped with Gold Encore ink.  It was also used direct-to-paper on a piece of Vanilla cardstock before cutting out the leaves with the retired Little Leaves Sizzlit.  Originally, I tried Champagne Glimmer paper but the color clashed with the gold ink.  The flowers were made with the retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the current Itty Bitty Accessory Pack.  Of course, small pearls were added to the centers for a finishing touch.  What would flowers be without a butterfly?  Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches to the rescue!  Teena Thompson's card posted on our Demonstrator-only web site was the inspiration for my card.  It appears that she made an easel type card.  Here is a photo of her card.

Love her puffy flowers.  But for mailing purposes, I kept mine less dimensional.  Thanks for the inspiration, Teena!
