A Special Anniversary

Hi there and happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing a card made for a friend's special anniversary.  Stampin' Up! Framelits were used to cut out the hearts.  The large background heart was embossed with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder, then the edges were sponged for a vintage look.  The sentiment is stamped with Gold Encore ink.  It was also used direct-to-paper on a piece of Vanilla cardstock before cutting out the leaves with the retired Little Leaves Sizzlit.  Originally, I tried Champagne Glimmer paper but the color clashed with the gold ink.  The flowers were made with the retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the current Itty Bitty Accessory Pack.  Of course, small pearls were added to the centers for a finishing touch.  What would flowers be without a butterfly?  Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches to the rescue!  Teena Thompson's card posted on our Demonstrator-only web site was the inspiration for my card.  It appears that she made an easel type card.  Here is a photo of her card.
Love her puffy flowers.  But for mailing purposes, I kept mine less dimensional.  Thanks for the inspiration, Teena!

Must sign off now to run some errands.  Thank you so much for stopping in today!

Card in a Box

Hi there!  What a gray and rainy day it is today.  This "card" reminds me of  our warm, sunny days in Florida last month, which seems like ages ago.  It is a card in a box made for our daughter and son-in-law when they were married in Florida.  I forgot to take photos - in fact, I didn't take photos of anything I made.  My daughter took these photos with her phone after they returned from their honeymoon.  They're not the best, but better than what I have!  A combination of Stampin' Up! products and items from my stash were used.  Here are some additional views.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Full Heart punch, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Expression Thinlits, Label Love stamp set & Artisan punch, rhinestones, Memorable Moments stamp set, Lace Ribbon border punch, Curly Label punch

That's it for now.  Thank you for coming by today!

50 Years of Bliss!

Hi there!  I never got around to posting the anniversary card that I made for my friend's 50th wedding anniversary on June 8th.  I used the Manhattan Flower embossing folder (now retired) on vellum, trimmed it, then adhered it to a piece of gold cardstock.  The "50" (from the Stampin' Up! Memorable Moments set) was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  It was punched out with a circle punch and glued to the card front.  I used 5/8" white organza ribbon for the finishing touch.

It was a wonderful party and hope they have 50 more years of wedded bliss!

Thanks for stopping by for a peek today!

Be Happy!

Hi there!  Yesterday I planned to have some maintenance done on my car, which didn't quite pan out -  our son came by for a visit.  That beats out car stuff any day!  It was good to see him up and about since his knee surgery last Thursday.  And, of course, mom fed him lunch.  Nothing wrong with his appetite!  lol

Today's card is one that I made at Carla Spradling's Card Buffet.  The Honeycomb embossing folder is the perfect background for those cute bee images from the Spring Sampler set (retiring Jun 3rd).  The sentiment is from Memorable Moments

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted
Stamps: Spring Sampler, Memorable Moments
Paper: Black, Daffodil Delight, White
Ink: Black, Daffodil Delight marker
Other: Honeycomb embossing folder, Black Scallop Dots ribbon, Dimensionals

OK, must run.  Thanks for stopping by today!
