Happy, Happy!

Hi there!  Can you believe tomorrow is May?  Wow, time is just flying!  Speaking of time flying, Monday night I attended Stampin' Up!s Live New Catalog Premiere at the Mills theatre in Hazelwood, MO.  That was the fastest 2-1/2 hours ever!  The whole experience was awesome!  A group of us met at Chevy's before the event, which is always fun.  You could feel the excitement in the atmosphere throughout the mall!  We lined up at the door at 5 pm and entered the movie theatre at 5:30, where we were given wrist bands at the registration table for Prize Patrol.  Unfortunately, our group didn't win a single prize!  (Enter sad face here.)  The Stampin' Up! staff presented live demonstrations (simulcast from California) with products from the new 2014-15 catalog that will go live in June.  We were given a copy of the new catalog AND a new stamp set on our way out of the theatre!  Woo hoo!  I'm really excited to share the catalog with you - and to use my new stamps!  One of the really cool things SU! did this year was to include a picture index in the back of the catalog of each greeting and alphabet set!  That will be so helpful when searching for a sentiment!  Another highlight of the evening was that I met Ann Schach in the theatre lobby!  (She's on my blog list.  You can check out her blog here.)  What a sweet lady - and very talented!  I could have talked to her much longer but her group was ready to head out for their four hour drive back to Iowa.  Well, I can go on and on but better get to today's card.  Inspiration for this card came from Annette Elliott.  See her card here, posted March 29th.
First I stamped the watermark image from the Happy Watercolor stamp set onto watercolor paper using Gumball Green and Island Indigo inks.  Two sets of flowers were stamped - one set was cut out and popped up on Dimensionals for a 3-D effect on an oval "frame" that was cut out with Framelits.  The focal piece was adhered to a panel of Gumball Green Core'dinations cardstock, which was embossed with the retired Vine embossing folder and sanded a bit.  Pearls, ribbon, and a couple of flags were the finishing touch.

Tomorrow I get to place a preorder for NEW products from the new catalog!!!!   (Just one more advantage of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!)  The retired list is out and products are going FAST!   Don't miss out getting the items you want because once they sell out, they're gone!  Here is a link to my online store.  Check it out for any items you may want to order and shoot me an email or give me a call.  I'd be happy to help, if you don't already have a Demonstrator!  Thanks in advance!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping in today!

Watercolor Wonder

Hi there!  Sorry for the absence.  My intention was to schedule some posts before leaving for the girls retreat but there just weren't enough hours in the day.  We had a small group at the retreat this time but it was still fun and very relaxing.  We watched a lot of movies.  Speaking of movies, tonight is the live catalog premiere (simulcast from California)!  It is being held at a local movie theatre.  Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will be in movie theatres across the nation to view our new catalog on the big screen!  How cool is that?  This is something new Stampin' Up! is trying and it seems to be going over very well.  Of course, our group is making a day of it!  So with that in mind, I'd better get to today's card.  This was a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from Shelly Godby's card posted on her blog www.stampinsmiles.com December 29, 2013.  Why change perfection?  Love the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.  Too bad it has to retire!

Must get going!  Thank you for coming by for a visit today!

Eastern Elegance Meets Dahlias

Hi there and happy Good Friday!  Been on the go the last few days but I'm back today with a card that was made at Jayne Singleton's Stamp Camp last Saturday.  Jayne and I both like a lot of layers and this card doesn't disappoint.  The stamp set is Regarding Dahlias and the Designer Series Paper is Eastern Elegance.  I will be sad when this paper retires in June.  It is so elegant....hence the name.  Ha!
Sorry for another short post but I must run some errands.  Hope you have a wonderful Easter and thank you for stopping by today!

Easter Eggs

Hi there!  Hope you had a good weekend.  Saturday was spent with my stamping peeps.  Lots of fun!  Yesterday it was overcast with intermittent rain.  A good day to stamp.   We had company so not much stamping was accomplished.  Today I have another Card Buffet sample - an Easter card.  The "grass" is made with Fringe Scissors.  You can find them in the 2014 Stampin' Up! Celebrate Everyday Catalog (Occasions).  They're a fun tool to use.

This week is a busy one so must get crackin' on some projects.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Chick!

Hi there and happy Friday!  Wow, yesterday's temps were in the low 80's!  Picked up the granddaughter (a spur of the moment thing after an appointment) and headed to the park.  We sat on a bench to have a little picnic with the meal we grabbed on the way there.  It was so nice sitting there enjoying nature and people watching.  Hope you enjoyed the warmer weather, too.

It will be Easter soon.  I'm sharing another Card Buffet sample, which was a special request from a customer.  I was happy to oblige with a card from the past because this chick is so cute!  My inspiration came from Corie Foster and her version can be seen here (scroll down to Feb 14 post).

Must tackle my to-do list.  Have a great weekend and thank you for coming by today!

Sending Good Thoughts

Hi there!  Temperatures around here are on the rise!  Woo hoo!  It's going to feel more like Spring (or Summer), which is totally fine with me.  I have errands to run so let's get to the card - another sample from our Card Buffet.  Love the Perfect Pennants sentiment used here.  This stamp set is a good one to have (in my humble opinion).  The color orange is not one I typically use, but thought it would be cheerful for a get well type card.  A bit of texture was added by using the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and the butterfly added some interest.
Must scoot now.  Thank you for stopping in for a visit today!

Petal Parade

Hi there and happy hump day!  Today's post is another card from our Feb-Mar Card Buffet using the Sale-A-Bration set, Petal Parade.  I pretty much CASE'd Sharon Jaramillo's card here (scroll down to Feb 1 post) except for using Dazzling Diamonds on the flower.  Love the simplicity of this card. Thank you, Sharon!

Make a Wish

Hi there!  Saturday we had a large group attending our Card Buffet.  Thank you SO much!   It got a bit hectic and we really appreciate everyone's patience, especially waiting for the supply boxes!  We're working to resolve the issues.
The above card is from a previous Card Buffet.  The little banners were stamped with the Banner Blast set, which was a Sale-A-Bration freebie as well as the coordinating punch.  (The punch will be in the Stampin' Up! 2014-15 Annual Catalog that comes out in June.)  The Perfect Pennants set was used for the sentiment.  Sure hope this set carries over to the new catalog!

Sorry for the short post.  There's much to catch up on since the wedding.  Thank you for stopping in today!

Card in a Box

Hi there!  What a gray and rainy day it is today.  This "card" reminds me of  our warm, sunny days in Florida last month, which seems like ages ago.  It is a card in a box made for our daughter and son-in-law when they were married in Florida.  I forgot to take photos - in fact, I didn't take photos of anything I made.  My daughter took these photos with her phone after they returned from their honeymoon.  They're not the best, but better than what I have!  A combination of Stampin' Up! products and items from my stash were used.  Here are some additional views.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Full Heart punch, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Expression Thinlits, Label Love stamp set & Artisan punch, rhinestones, Memorable Moments stamp set, Lace Ribbon border punch, Curly Label punch

That's it for now.  Thank you for coming by today!
