Birthday Lion

Hi there!  Hope your weekend was good.  I had a fantastic weekend stamping with my friends....and making new friends.  Yesterday was a bridal shower for the future daughter-in-law of our close friends.  On the down side, our granddog went home after staying with us for about a week and a half.  Sure will miss having him around for nightly walks.
Speaking of animals, how about this lion punch art card?  Cute, cute, cute!  (Pardon the glare.)  It's a swap that Sally Nusbaum received at the Stampin' Up! Convention.  She brought her swaps to the crop on Saturday to share with us.  Sorry I don't have the name of the Demo who made it.  The Designer Paper is Lullabye and the birthday embellishment is an image from Label Love, which was punched out with the Artisan Label punch.

This evening I'm taking our granddaughter out to dinner before we go see Seussical at the Muny.  With that said, must get busy on my very long to-do list.  Thank you so much for visiting today!

Have a Ball

Hi there!  Here with another Card Buffet sample for the sports-minded.  Mena Green was the inspiration for this card.  You can view hers here (Aug 16th post).   The soccer ball was punched from a 2-1/2" circle punch and then embossed with the Hexagon embossing folder.  I also embossed some black cardstock with the same embossing folder, to be cut out and adhered to the white ball.  Fringe scissors aided in making the "grass".  (Currently available in the "Celebrate the Every Day" catalog.  Good news!  They'll also be available in the new 2014-15 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.)  The card front is completed with a sentiment from Label Love, which was punched out with the coordinating Artisan Label punch.

Must get going to an appointment.  Thanks for visiting today!

Card in a Box

Hi there!  What a gray and rainy day it is today.  This "card" reminds me of  our warm, sunny days in Florida last month, which seems like ages ago.  It is a card in a box made for our daughter and son-in-law when they were married in Florida.  I forgot to take photos - in fact, I didn't take photos of anything I made.  My daughter took these photos with her phone after they returned from their honeymoon.  They're not the best, but better than what I have!  A combination of Stampin' Up! products and items from my stash were used.  Here are some additional views.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Full Heart punch, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Expression Thinlits, Label Love stamp set & Artisan punch, rhinestones, Memorable Moments stamp set, Lace Ribbon border punch, Curly Label punch

That's it for now.  Thank you for coming by today!

Rev up the Fun!

Hi there!  Real quick post today as I have an appointment this morning.  The above masculine card  showcasing the Rev up the Fun set was on our Card Buffet display board for a few months.  (This set also has a motorcycle image that could be substituted in place of the car.)  Did you notice that the Artisan punch was used for the "stoplight" along with a 1" circle punch for the centers?   Pretty clever!  I saw it on Brian King's blog here.  One of our customers made this card but instead of stamping the car image directly onto the card base, she stamped it on a scrap piece of cardstock and cut it out.  Dimensionals were used to pop up the car over the tire tracks.  This was how she fixed her little boo boo - a gap between the tire tracks.  Love getting ideas from our customers!

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Rev up the Fun
Paper: Sahara Sand, Black, Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Real Red
Ink: Black, Real Red
Tools:  Artisan punch, 1” circle punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig (SAMJ)
Other:  White gel pen, Dimensionals, clear blocks

Must sign off for now.  Thanks for coming by today!

Last of the Swaps!

Hi there!  Well, today I have the remaining shoebox swaps from our Demo weekend at Pam D'Urso's home May 30 - Jun 2.  What a great weekend it was!  The above card was our hostess with the mostess' swap.  Love the understated simplicity and elegance of Pam's cards.  The flower from the Love and Sympathy set was colored with Calypso Coral and Old Olive markers.  The sentiment is stamped in black.

Next up is Mary Ellen Cope's card using some new products from the 2013-14 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog.

A strip of Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) was layered on the strip of Strawberry Slush Core'dinations cardstock.  The Daffodil Delight butterflies were cut from the Beautiful Wings Embosslet die. The sentiment is a new set called Label Love, which was stamped in Island Indigo ink.  There is a coordinating punch for this set.

The final card is mine.
I chose the Summer Silhouettes and Label Love stamp sets for this card.  The ink colors are the new In Colors: Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, and Pistachio Pudding.  (Are you hungry yet?)  My embellishment was made with the new Artisan punch.

That completes the line-up of shoebox swaps from Pam's retreat.  She has already sent out the date for the next retreat in September!  Can't wait!  Love spending time with these girls!  And to think I never would have met these ladies had I not become a Stampin' Up! Deomonstrator!

Tuesday evening our granddaughter spent the night.  It was a spur of the moment thing.  She brought along the scrapbook that her other grandma gave her and some photos that mom provided.  Miss M completed her scrapbook yesterday and did a really nice job for an almost 6 year old.  I was so busy helping her that I didn't even think about snapping some pics of the process.  Miss M also wanted to make Carla Spradling a gift, whom she never met.  We were meeting Carla later that afternoon at Lion's Choice for an early dinner.  (Carla and I meet there before her Card Buffets and my DIL was stopping in after work to pick up Miss M.)  I was busy pulling out supplies so that Miss M could make Carla's gift.  She's so sweet like that - always wanting to make people gifts.  But what a little task master!  lol   Unfortunately, Carla got stuck in traffic and didn't make it to the restaurant until after Miss M left.  Carla did receive her "gift" of a bunch of decorated hearts and graciously told me that she'll hang them on her board at home.  She's such a sweetie!  (I'll post photos later of the Buffet cards I made)

Time to tackle some chores.  Hope your day is going well and thank you so much for coming by today!
