Vintage Thank You

Hi there!  I'm back from a nasty bug that had me in bed for almost a week.  Glad that's over!  So how about getting right to the point....the above card.  This is one of a gift set made for my SIL, who recently celebrated a birthday.  She's very active in her community and is always in need of note cards.
The embossed lines were made with the Simply Scored Scoring tool - on the wrong side at 1/2" and 5/8" on all four sides.  Flipped the card right side up and stamped the flower image from Fresh Vintage, which is now retired.  The sentiment is from Blooming with Kindness.  Very easy card and smart looking, too, at least in my opinion.

All Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Fresh Vintage, Blooming with Kindness
Paper: White
Ink: Black
Tools: Simply Scored Scoring Tool

That's it for now.  Thank you so much for coming by today!

Hi there!  Sorry for my absence.  Had a great extended weekend with my stamping peeps at Pam D'Urso's home aka Little House on the Prairie Stamping Retreat.  What a blast we had - laughed until we cried!  Now that is some serious fun!
Today's get well card is one that was sent to a friend.  Seems like there's been a need for these types of cards lately.  Not a good thing!  The stamps used for this card are now retired and stored with other favorites that I can't bear to part with.

Stamps: Fresh Vintage, Sincere Salutations
Paper: Crumb Cake, Black
Ink: Black
Other: Postage Stamp Punch

REMINDER:  Don't forget that you get a free spool of ribbon for every $40 you spend (before s/h and tax) on SU! merchandise this month!  There is no quantity limit.

Must get back to cutting card stock for my Camps this Fri and Sat.  Please contact me to reserve your spot if you'd like to attend.  My number is listed in the blog header.

Thanks for stopping in today!

Enchanted Poppy

Hi there!  It's been a chilly and dreary day today (well now it's yesterday).  Spent most of the day working on projects and paperwork.  Then had to go run errands.  It wasn't too bad, though.  OK enough chit chat - on to the card.  Carolyn Gray, a Demo friend from TX, sent a lovely card to me.  I just had to CASE it even though the DSP and stamp set is retired.  Carolyn's card base was Pool Party but I changed mine to Very Vanilla and used a different sentiment. I like them both.  Thanks, Carolyn!

Stamps: Fresh Vintage, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Versamark, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake
Other: Enchantment Brads, Pool Party ruffled ribbon, Framelits die, clear embossing powder

That's all for now - heading to bed!  Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Fresh Vintage in Black & White

Hi there!  Hope you had a good weekend.  I had a great extended weekend with my peeps at our quarterly Girls Getaway retreat!  Now it's back to reality.  Spent the day taking care of some business matters, catching up on emails & phone calls, unpacking & putting away everything (well..almost), and laundry.
How about that Retirement List?  I filled a box of stamps that will retire May 31st.  Ugh!  But I'm excited to see what will come out in the new catalog!
Well, better get on with the card so I can go to bed!  I really love the Fresh Vintage set and enjoy creating cards with it even though it's now retired.  Hope they carry it over to the new catalog.  This card is so simple...yet elegant.
Inspired by Renee Ondrajka
The solid black strip is 1/2" x 5-1/2" and embossed with the Houndstooth embossing folder.  The postage stamp image was punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch and mounted on a 1-3/8" square.  The sentiment is from another retired Sale-A-Bration set, Elementary Elegance.  Now wasn't that easy?

Must sign off now.  Thank you for stopping by!

Pacific Vintage

Hi there!  Hope your week is going well.  Mine has turned out to be very busy.  So with that said, I'll get on with today's card so I can go to bed.  This card came about as an accident.  The Pacific Point oval was cut out to use as a mat for a different project, when it occurred to me to use the "scrap" as the focal piece of the card shown below.  The image from Fresh Vintage (love this set - hope it makes it to the new annual catalog) peeks out from the oval cut-out.  A scallop border (from the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die collection) and butterflies helped "fancy" it up a bit.

Stamps: Fresh Vintage
Paper: Pacific Point, White, Vellum
Ink: Pacific Point
Other: Beautiful Wings embosslit, Edgelits Die, Pearls

Must get to bed.  Tomorrow is another full day.  I'll be checking in on a friend recuperating from surgery and picking up the granddaughter for an overnight visit.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Fresh Vintage Thank You

Hi there!  Hope you're enjoying the Spring weather we're having!  It's so nice but the downside is that the pollen is terrible.  All the cars in the neighborhood have a yellow cast to them.  lol.
Today I have two cards made with the Fresh Vintage Sale-a-bration set.  There are only 5 days left to get this FREE set with a $50 order (before tax & s/h).  So if you'd like to have this versatile set, contact me and I'd be happy to place an order for you.  (Please see right side bar for contact information.)

The postage stamp image was stamped on Crumb Cake card stock, then punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch, and mounted on a 1-1/2" Black square.  Arrange the three squares on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake and then to a Black card base.  Add sentiment of your choice - I used one from Sincere Salutations.  Add a pearl to the center of the flowers and you're done!  It's an easy and striking card.

This next version is the same except that I colored the pearls with a black Sharpie (who knew you could do that?) and added three pearls to the corner.  Not sure which version I like best.  How about you?

Need to scoot - dropping off our documents to the tax man.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
