Moving Card

Hi there!  While going through some photos of cards, I discovered that this card from Pam D'Urso (my friend and upline) never got posted.  It is just too cute not to share!

Pull card insert to reveal new address

How clever is this to let people know your new address when you move!?!   I just love it.  She used a couple of embossing folders - Stripes & the Square Lattice.  The bird punch was used for the leaves.  It appears that the Petal Card Double Punch and the Itty Bitty Flower Punch was used to make the flowers.  Pam did an awesome job - as usual!  I was thrilled to have received this card but sad because she moved two hours away!

Had a spontaneous meeting with a friend at De-Lish Cheescake Bakery & Cafe in Florissant.  What a wonderful little place.  I had an excellent egg, bacon, & cheese sandwich on a ciabatta bun and a big mug of coffee (plus free refills).  Everything served looked yummy!  Other customers were raving about their meals.  I'll be going back real soon!

OK, time for me to hit the hay!  Tomorrow I'll be with the Wednesday Girls.  I have some Camp card components to prep, which will keep me occupied.

Thanks for coming by today!

3-D Items

Hi there!  It's the beginning of another week and almost the end of another month!  Wow!  Where did this month go?
Today I want to share some of the items that were given at our last Demo dinner meeting.  There were so many things given out.  Hope I give proper credit for each item.

Pam D'Urso used the Scallop Envelope Die to make us St Patrick's Day treat holders.  She also made the "Friend" container full of trinket hearts.  The container is adorned with a flower made from the Triple Treat stamp.  The little heart was made by Deana Schultz.  It was made with our Petal Card Double Punch.  When you leave a couple of the flaps unfolded, you get a cute heart shaped treat holder.  We were definitely lucky recipients of some crafty ladies!
Edited to correct: Penny Thomas gave us the flower container.  Thanks Pam for catching that!

Mixed Bunch in Black & White

Hi there!  Can you believe I'm posting again? lol  Just wanted to show you another version of a card using the Mixed Bunch set.  It is turning out to be one of my fav's.  Yeah, yeah - I say that about most of the sets!  They look soooo different in real life than in the photos in the catalog.  I remember going to Stamp Camps as a customer with my purchase in mind.  Then I'd see a card made with a set and blow my whole plan 'cause I HAD to have the set(s) we used that day.  Guess things haven't changed much except now I'm my own best customer!
Now on to today's card.

Stampin' Up! supplies used unless otherwise noted.
Stamps:  Mixed Bunch, Loving Thoughts
Paper: Black, White
Ink: Black

Hope your weekend has been a good one.  Thanks for coming by today!

Masuline Lovely as a Tree

Good morning!  Stopping in real quick to post a masculine card today.  Seems like we never have enough of those, huh?

The middle section of the Whisper White panel was masked off and sponged with Calypso Coral on the bottom portion.  I then moved up a bit to blend in some Perfect Plum and then some Pool Party.  Once the colors were blended, the mask was removed.  I used the image from Lovely as a Tree to stamp in the tree line using black ink.  The sentiment is from On Your Birthday.  My focal piece was adhered to a Perfect Plum card base.  Hopefully, the plum isn't too feminine of a color for a masculine card.  I was envisioning a sunset.

Must run now to get ready for our granddaughter's overnight visit.  Yeah, no daycare tomorrow so we can spend more time together!

Mixed Bunch

Hi there and happy Friday to you all.  Well, today it is cold and gray.  What a change from yesterday's sunny, shirt-sleeve weather!  Oh well, gray days are good days to stamp!  I've been in the studio today working on some projects for my upcoming Stamp Camp on Mar 10.  So without further adieu, here are a couple of versions of a card made last Wednesday at our little stamping group.

Monkeying Around

Hi there!  It was such a great day today.  A lot of people were out and about enjoying the sunshine and mild temps, including me!   Had a long, relaxing lunch with a couple of friends - then ran a couple of errands before heading home.

I have a real quick post of the Valentine card sent to our 4 year old granddaughter.  It was made some time ago with the Wednesday Girls stamping group so I don't remember which company the stamps were from.  Sorry!  Someone in the group brought them for everyone to make a card.  I just love this little monkey - he's so cute.  I'm sure my granddaughter loved it, too.

OK - need to get to bed.  Thanks for coming by today!

Monogrammed Note Cards

Happy hump day!  You know what that means....it's stamping with the Wednesday girls!  I'll show you a note card from the set I made for my sister-in-law.  She really appreciated getting them. Black and white is always so elegant looking, at least in my book.

Texture was added to the white background with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I stamped the border strip with the flourish image from Elements of Style stamp set and matted it on the black strip.  The monogram is a non-SU! set that I've had for years.  It is punched out, matted on the black scallop circle, and popped up with dimensionals.  An easy card with a lot of impact.

Hope you have an awesome day and thanks for coming by!

Just Believe Mixed Bunch

Hi there.  Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend.  Back to the working world - at least for some.
Been really behind on posting cards.  Here is one CASE'd from Sandi MacIver.  She is so talented.  Click here to see the card and a video!

My card is very similar to hers except for some of the DSP Sandi used for the background and the flowers.

Sorry for the brief post today - working on some projects.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping in!

Apothecary Art and Elegant Bird

Hi there!  What a gray day here.  Good day to stamp!  Before I do, though, I want to share one of the projects from my Stamp Camp this past Saturday.  I have the BEST group of ladies who attend!  We had such a fun time.  Thank you so much for coming and for those who couldn't make it, we missed you!

Yesterday was a another fun filled day.  I attended a Welcome Back Open House for a friend who moved back to the area.  We were best friends during high school but life got in the way plus she lived out of state for the past forty years (yikes! - where did the time go?).  It was so great to reconnect with her and her family!  Looking forward to spending more time together once she gets settled.

Guess I'd better get on with the card before you lose interest, if you haven't already. lol   The focal piece on the following card was made with the new Label Collection Framelits die and the coordinating stamp set,  Apothecary Art.  So cool!  You can purchase these items from the Occasions Mini catalog.  They'll be available until March 31, 2012.

Tomorrow I'll post another Camp card.  But for now I want to show you a thank you card I made for Penny Thomas, my upline's (Pam D'Urso) upline - and sister.  (Two of the sweetest and most genuine people I know.)  Penny was planning a visit with Pam so our February Pieces of Heart Stampers team dinner meeting last night was scheduled around Penny's visit. Our meeting got a little rowdy (...but that's another story! lol)  We had an awesome server who was very good natured about everything.  Anyway, Penny awards "Million Dollar Prizes" to the Demonstrators in her downline who rank in the top three for sales.  I was one of the fortunate recipients for December sales - thanks to my wonderful customers!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!   Mr. Brown (aka, UPS) delivered my gift, the Elegant Bird die, on Thursday.  Woo Hoo!  Since Penny was going to be at the Team meeting, I delivered my thank you note AND a big ol' hug to her personally!
The inspiration for this card came from Sharon Burkert as seen here on her Feb 9th blog post.

First Edition DSP was used for the bird.  The heart is, of course, our Red Glimmer paper.   I added a pearl (colored with a black Sharpie) for the eye.  The sentiment is from Just Believe (I added the ...)  Can't wait to use this die in other projects.  Thanks again, Penny!

We're supposed to get some snow (an accumulation of 3-4").  Rush hour is predicted to be the time for the "nasty" stuff.  The prediction might be "right on" since it's coming down pretty steady now.  Just hope everyone who has to drive in it is careful!

OK, need to get back to stamping.  Hope you've had an awesome day so far and thanks for stopping in!

Fabulous Florets

Hi there!  Hope you're having a fabulous week so far.

Thought you might want to see a card.  They've been few and far between lately!  The flower image in the card below was colored with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker.  It came out looking burgundy so Bravo Burgundy was used as an accent.  Started adding white dots with a Signo gel pen, but didn't care for the way they looked.

The color wasn't what I was going for, either, so I decided to try Real Red.  That worked out more to my liking.  Here is the Real Red version - and no white dots:

Much better!  My card base and focal piece is Sahara Sand. First the flowers were stamped with Whisper White craft ink.  They were stamped again using Black ink and offset a bit, then colored in with the Real Red Stampin' Write marker.

Want to see my inspiration?

Yep. ............ a tissue box!  I obviously was attracted to the graphics on the box when I purchased them.  This box has been sitting on my computer desk in my line of vision whenever I'm on the computer - which is a LOT.  Then one day it hit me that the design and colors would make a great card - just had to figure out what stamp set to use.  Fabulous Florets was as close to the box image that I could get.  Just goes to show you - you never know where inspiration may come from!

Hope you have a wonderful week.  Thanks for stopping by!
