It's the Berries...

As in strawberries.  Hope you are having a good week. The card today entails some punch art.  The strawberry is made from the Full Heart punch, which was then embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and lightly sponged with Chocolate Chip ink to add some dimension. The ribbon is from my stash of ribbon from various stores.  (Gasp!)
The flowers on my sample were made from the Trio Flower punch, which is retired.  For Camp we used the flower from the Itty Bitty punch pack.

Fond Farewell Project - Tart n Tangy

Hi there!  Hope you're having a great day.  Just dashing in to post another card made at Stamp Camp this past Saturday.  This card is an easy one.  You need at least one easy card.  The girls can get quite rowdy if they have to concentrate the whole time! lol  Just kidding - my ladies are the BEST!
I will miss this set even though the new catalog has one to replace it.  I actually like this one better.  (That's one of the great perks of being a Demo.  We get advanced copies of the new catalogs. )

Paper: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, White

June Stamp Camp Projects

Hi everyone!  We had storms again over the weekend.  Woke up this morning to rain, then no power.  Ugh!  Fortunately, it was restored around 1 pm so I didn't have to throw out the refrigerated/frozen food.  What a way to start the week.  It sure wasn't conducive to an already busy week!  What's that saying... "Life isnt about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain."  Well, I should be ready to hit Broadway soon! lol
OK back to business.  Here is one of the projects from my Fond Farewell Stamp Camp this past Saturday.

Funny story about Stamp Camp.  We were waiting for a couple of people to show up when the electricity went out in the restaurant!  I was wondering to myself if I'd have to cancel Camp again because of no power, which is what happened in April (due to the tornado).  We sat in the dark for about 10 minutes before the lights came back on.  Whew, so glad they did!  Otherwise, it would have been our farewell.  lol

OK, need to get to bed. (Even though this shows being posted 2 hrs earlier. I guess Blogger is on Pacific time.)   I'll have more tomorrow.  Gotta keep you in suspense.

Thanks for stopping by!

June Stamp Camp Sneak Peek

Hi friends!  Gosh another week has zoomed by.  How time flies when you're having fun, huh?

Here is a little peek at the cards that will be made at this months Stamp Camp.  I'll post the cards later in the week.  It's another busy and fun filled weekend with my Camp tomorrow and Pam's Demo Stamp Camp on Sunday.

Last Saturday was our granddaughter's birthday party, which was held  at a local park.  The weather was fabulous - especially for this time of year and helped make it an enjoyable day.  Miss M seemed to like the ABC book I made for her (Yep, I did a little scrapbooking.  Amazing, huh?) but she was busy opening the rest of her gifts, which covered the picnic table.  She is one loved child!

OK, here are the cards.  Well - parts of them.  LOL

That's all for now.  Sorry for the quick post (and the dark photo).  I need to get ready for bed.  Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend!

A Second Birthday Card

Hi there.  Today I want to show you the second birthday card I'll give to our granddaughter tomorrow.  This card is a non-SU! card.  Gasp!  I don't remember the stamp set or the supplies used - it's been a while since I made the card.

All that pink just makes me happy.  Must run to finish up some projects.  Have a great weekend and thanks for coming by today!

An Elegant Elizabeth.... but no Royal connections.

Hi everyone and happy Thursday!  Today I want to show you a card made with the Elizabeth stamp.  It is a single stamp located on page 18 of the current catalog.  This card was sent to our friends for their anniversary but you can customize the sentiment to suit your occasion.  It makes such an elegant card.  This card was CASEd from someone, but I can't find the information right now.  I'll edit to add later when found.  Sorry!

SU! supplies
Stamps: Elizabeth, Just Believe (sentiment)
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Black, Newsprint DSP
Ink: Black
Other: Black satin ribbon, oval punch, dimensionals

That's all for today.  Need to finish some things before going to pick up our granddaughter for an overnight visit.  Have a great day and thank you for stopping by for a visit!

May Buddy Swap

I am late posting this but wanted to share a cute card with you.  I participate in a monthly Buddy Swap among local area Demonstators.  We're always looking for new ideas, right?  Swapping one or two cards a month is also very do-able!  The card shown below came from my friend, Deana Schultz.

Supplies used (that I see):
Hello Blossoms stamp, Itty Bitty punch pack, Scallop border punch, Square Lattice embossing folder, Old Olive satin ribbon, pearls

A Beary Happy Birthday!

Today our granddaughter is four years old.  Gosh, where did the time go?  She'll be going to school before we know it.  Yikes!  Here is the card I mailed to her.  She'll enjoy it  since she loves animals.  I'll enclose a different card with her gift for the party being held on Saturday.

The inspiration for this card came from a photo of someone's swap at the Branson Regional.  I did not get one as I had run out of swaps so I don't know who to credit.  Such a cute idea for kids.  Thanks whoever you are!
Supplies used:
Head = Large scallop Nestability (place card stock just under the steel cutting area so that you'll have a hinge to open card.)
Ears =   1-1/2" & 1-3/4" circle punches
Muzzle =  2-1/4" circle punch
Nose = 7/8 circle (I think I used the small Nestability)
Whisker Dots on Muzzle = small punch on Crop A Dile
Eyes =  3/4" & 1/2" circle punches
Signo white gel pen, black pen

Tomorrow I'll post the Buddy Swap I received last month.  Thank you for stopping by today!

Mark Your Place

Hi there!  Sure has been a whirlwind week (the busy kind - not tornado kind).  The Stamping Convention held in Collinsville, IL this past weekend was a blast!  (What happens at Convention, stays at Convention. lol)  I didn't buy much - just some tools that SU! doesn't have.  The main reason I go is to see and be with my friends.  I also like watching the demonstrations to learn new techniques and chatting with everyone.  Stampers are the nicest people!
Just wanted to post real quick today to say hi to all of you and to show off the gift that Pam D'Urso (my friend and upline) gave to us at our Demo dinner meeting last week.  She is such a thoughtful and sweet person.  She's just the best!  I love this bookmark and no one can claim it as theirs (except Jayne) because it is personalized with my initial.  Cool, huh?

A full length view
Isn't this a clever use of the Hodgepodge Hardware?  The Lovely Letters alphabet was used for the initial.  Thanks again, Pam!
Need to get back to the projects I'm working on for my Jun 25th Stamp Camp.  If you live in the St Louis metro area and would like to attend, please contact me (see right side bar) for more information and to reserve your spot.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

June Demo Dinner Meeting and Clipboard Challenge

Hi!  Just popping in real quick to show you the projects made by the other team members and Don (our mascot - LOL).  I'm getting ready to go stamp with the Wednesday girls and need to pack my project bag.  It's still packed with scrapbooking supplies from the Fri night crop.  (Yes, you read right - scrapbooking. A real shocker!)  Anyway, here are the altered clipboards.
Donna's

Jayne's

Mary Ellen's

Patty's

Pam's

the back of Pam's - clever storage idea

Don's (Patty's husband)
We sure have a creative group.  Our challenge next month is a mini pail (or bucket).  What to do, what to do???  Last night I was so tired when I got home.  Maybe it was that jumbo margarita that did it.  Nah!  We had a fun time and the food was good.  Pam received her new catalog so it was going around the table. (squeal!)   It made it's way to my side of the table and in my hands when the food came.  I thought it best that Pam get it back in case there was an accident or something.  Know what I mean?  Hopefully my copy will come next week - can't wait!  I'm so glad that the Decor items will be in the same catalog.
OK, need to scoot.  Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Life at Camp Sumner

Hi there!  Hope you all haven't given up on me.  It's been busy around Camp Sumner to say the least.  Had the granddaughter overnight on Thu, dropped her off at daycare Fri morning then went to a 13 hr crop.   Saturday I helped my daughter clean her above ground pool that came with the house she recently purchased.  Boy we could have used a refreshing dip to cool off.  I learned later that we had a record temperature of 98 degrees.  No wonder I was so HOT!  That evening I attended a graduation party.  Sunday I cleaned MY house, which desperately needed it!  Tonight is our monthly Demo dinner meeting.  The challenge this month is a mini clipboard.  It will be interesting to see what everyone comes up with.  I decided to make a checklist to keep track of card stock, ink pads, and re-inkers I need to order.  Springtime Vintage DSP was used to cover the clipboard.  (Need to use up the retired stuff ya know.  I'm such a DSP hoarder!)  The checklist is computer generated (printed on Very Vanilla card stock) and adhered to an Old Olive mat.  There is a transparency overlay to write on that slips under the clip part. The magnetic flower embellishment is made from the Scallop circle punch, the new 3-step Doily punch, and one of the flowers from the retired Spring Flower Bouquet punch (sorry!).  A pearl was the finishing touch.   I tied a piece of gold embroidery floss to the dry erase pen and to the clipboard. The bottom of the pen is wrapped in Very Vanilla 5/8" Satin ribbon to hide the logo.  Here is a picture of my finished project.

OK, I'm off to meet the girls (and Don).  I'll post their projects later.  Thanks for stopping in today!
