Inspiration: Kathleen Wingerson
Hi there! Today's card uses a piece of acetate for a see-through effect, which was difficult to photograph. To learn how to do this technique (and to get a better idea of what the card looks like), watch Kathleen's You Tube video HERE.
The colors used for this card were: Pool Party, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, and Soft Suede.
Everything is explained in the video so there is no need to go into details here.
Hope you have a great day. Thanks again for coming by!

Drapery Fold Technique
Hi there! Boy, this week sure flew by! So without further adieu, let's get to the card. The "drapery" fold technique seems to be all the rage on Pinterest , so I decided to give it a try. I used some retired Designer Series Paper called, Twitterpated for the "drapery". Unfortunately, the fold doesn't show up very well in the photo. The flower was made using the Botanical Builder Framelits, which can be found in the 2016 Stampin' Up! Ocassions Catalog. The sentiment is from the Wetlands set. One of my favorite sets.
Better get this posted before it's tomorrow. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in today!

Wetlands Work of Art
Hi there! Maybe today's card will have you thinking cool thoughts. lol It was a popular selection on our Card Buffet, which I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) from Billie Moan. She posts two color versions on her blog, Rambling Rose Studio. You can view Billie's cards here (scroll down to May 5th & May 3rd posts). Very clever use of the "swish" image from Work of Art. Love how well the combination of Smoky Slate and Coastal Cabana works together, too.

Ombre Wetlands
Hi there! Today is another sample of a card that the Club ladies made at our meeting on Tuesday. The inspiration came from Linda Heller's Stamping School, which you can join here for a nominal fee. She has done all the work of figuring out the measurements. There is a video to watch, plus she has an instruction sheet with a supply list that can be printed. This Ombre technique is a little bit of a challenge but fun to do. Love the results!
That's it for now - much to do before the weekend. Thank you for stopping by today!

Flower Shop Birthday
Hi there! Today I have a card from Jayne Singleton's May Stamp Camp. The flowers from Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets were stamped in colors to coordinate with the Fresh Prints DSP. Love this color combination! The flowers were then punched out with their coordinating punches and layered. A Banners Framelit was used to cut out the sentiment, which is from the Wetlands stamp set.
Time is running out to purchase Fresh Prints DSP, which will be retiring June 1. If you want anything from the 2014 Occasions Catalog or the 2013-14 Annual Catalog, don't delay! Some products have already sold out!

Sneak Peek - Blended Bloom
Hi there! Today I have a sneak peek of a stamp that will be available in the Stampin' Up! 2014-15 Annual Catalog, called Blended Bloom. This flower is such a great image to use with the Blendabilities. Do you think they planned that? :) Coastal Cabana Blendabilities were used here, as well as the Daffodil Delight set for the center of the flower. But wait - there's more! You can also use Blendabilities to color ribbon! I didn't have any Coastal Cabana ribbon or Baker's Twine so I ran the marker (lightest hue) down the length of some retiring Whisper White taffeta ribbon. Love how it turned out and it dried super fast! That's because these markers are alcohol based. The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set. (One of my fav's!)

Spring Fling Swaps
Hi there! Today it will begin to warm up a bit. Hooray! Get some of this snow melted. It could be worse, though. Need to make this short since I have errands to run today. So, on to the cute card that I received from Ann Nahm at the Spring Fling held this past Saturday. She made the lion's mane and paws using the Stampin' Up! Modern Label punch. The background was made with the Stripes embossing folder. The numbers are from the Bring on the Cake stamp set.
The following card was from Cindy Williams. She used one of my favorite sets, Wetlands. It appears that she used a reverse mask to sponge in the colors, then stamped the sandpipers and wheatgrass. Very cool technique. The white portion of the card flips up to open. It is adhered to a single sheet of Marina Mist cardstock for the base.
Must get going for now. If you would like to join us Saturday at our Card Buffet, just shoot me an email so we'll know how many tables to put togehter. We'll be at DeLeo's in Florissant from 11-4.

Wetlands Thinking of You
Hi there! Happy New Year everyone! We've been greeted with COLD temps and about three inches of snow for the new year. That's OK. I'll be warm and cozy in my studio working on projects for our Card Buffet scheduled for Jan 11th! So, a quick post on the above card that was made at Sally Nusbaum's Buffet. This is a good masculine card, which showcases the Stampin' Up! Dictionary background stamp and some of our 7/16" trim behind the Wetlands goose. An Aqua Painter brush was used to add a little color to the gooses body giving it a watercolored effect. The Aqua Painter brush has a barrel that is filled with water. These brushes can be found on page 164 of our Annual Catalog.

Masked Wetlands and Clearance Rack Blitz
Hi there! I'm back today with an experiment using masking tape on a card. I did this card a few months ago but overlooked posting it. This technique is all over the internet right now and it's fun to do, but a little messy so you may want to wear gloves. Begin with a strip of masking tape (long enough to hold each end as "handles") and tap/gently press tape onto ink pad to soak up some ink, then press onto cardstock. Repeat process using a different strip of masking tape for each color. Stamp desired image(s) once the background is complete. I actually stamped the goose onto the background, then stamped him again onto a scrap piece of cardstock and cut him out. He is popped up on Dimensionals. Don't worry about cutting out his legs! They'll show up from the image stamped directly onto the cardstock. Hope you give this technique a try!

Gently Falling
Hi there! Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I sure did. Hung out with my stamping/scrapping friends at the St Ferdinand crop on Saturday and did a few chores yesterday, which included unloading my car. Finally!
While cleaning up the studio, I came across some bits and pieces of projects that had been tossed into a drawer. I challenged myself to make some cards with the Gently Falling stamped pieces. Here is the first card. I had to use a Soft Suede marker and spritzing tool on the card base so that it would match the focal piece. The sentiment is from Wetlands.
That's it for now - must run some errands. Thanks for stopping in!

Wetlands
Hi there! This is a scheduled post while I'm stamping and chillaxing at the girls getaway retreat! I know I'm having fun! lol
This card was CASE'd from one that was made at Sally Nusbaum's Demo Shoebox Swap back in June. I believe it was Kathy Morales' swap card, but not totally sure about that. LOVE this stamp set so this card was a no brainer to be in our Card Buffet line-up! We're always looking for masculine cards, right?

Flower Shop Thank You
Hi there! Today I'm sharing two versions of the July 3x3 note cards that I enclosed with each customer's order. The flower for these little cards was made from a new set in the Stampin' Up! 2013-14 Annual Catalog called Flower Shop. There is a coordinating punch to make it a real snap to punch out! The gingham border is our new Washi tape. Love that stuff! I was skeptical at first. A sentiment from the Wetlands set was added. Such a pretty font don't you think? The Boho punch and a standard punch was used for the flower center.

Neutral Wetlands
Hi there! Just popping in real quick so I can take my car in for a little maintenance. Made this card to send to a male friend who lives in the country and is an outdoorsman. My card was CASEd from one that I saw on Glenda Caulkins' blog here. The Wetlands set is a great set for those masculine cards that we all struggle with. The circles were cut out with Stampin' Up! Circle Framelits and the sentiment was included with the stamp set. Love the font! I'm also loving the neutral tones of black and vanilla.
Must get going now. Thank you so much for popping in today!
